Major Gunns

Another one of the “nWo girls” who accompanied the silver and black nWo 2000 version of the group, Major Gunns, otherwise known as Tylene Buck, managed to move past the group. A member of the Misfits in Action stable led by the former Hugh Morrus, known as General Rection at the time, she provided the group with some sex appeal. Betraying her comrades and leader by making him lose his WCW United States Championship to Lance Storm, she became a member of his group Team Canada. Released by the company just prior to when it was sold to the WWE, she would go on to work for the company Xtreme Pro Wrestling for a few years before undergoing a change of career. Joining the adult entertainment business, she has appeared in a handful of pornographic films and now works regularly as a cam girl.

I'm going to find her cam show this weekend, and show her some major d.

I was just thinking that. I always forget you were primarily in the WCW/NWA camp growing up.

i still remember wondering if this was the time they'd finally let sting beat flair for that title even though i'd watched them wrestle like 50 times and arn anderson or somebody comes out and helps flair win every time.

but maybe not this time..

oh, this time too.

I started watching WCW when they decided to rip off The Crow... Did you like that version of Sting?

I grew up thinking WCW was nothing but a stupid knock-off of WWF because I could see WWF on tv and had WWF action figures but never saw WCW anywhere but the occasional ad.

it was cool at first but it got a little old to me after a while. he wasn't a great talker but he was more than competent and i kind of missed that part of his character once he went crow and just stopped talking.

all of that said, it's not like a bleach blond flat top and a tail could last forever. eventually the look was going to have to change anyway.

sting as a pure whitemeat baby face was actually pretty good. he was a star, was treated like a star, wcw presented him like a star, the fans cared about him like a big star and he could cut good babyface promos which is like the toughest thing in wrestling

i fell down the rabbit hole of old WCW promos last night. a lot of flair, arn, sting and then luger poopting himself

yeah, luger was never that compelling to me and definitely should have never been allowed near a microphone.

but those were my boys. you know, i was a kid so i was all in on it. even then i knew to hide it and watch it in the privacy of my own bedroom but i loved following the stories and listening to them rant and rave in these promos and poop. it was fun. and i just always found nwa/wcw to seem more real-looking than wwf, which seemed like all bright colors and cartoony characters, so that was what i followed.

Luger is totally a boy. I have such a fond appreciation for him in retrospective for some reason.

There was one promo I watched where you can see he is staring at a monitor on the floor to read his promo off of and then as he finishes the last word he stares straight into the camera. But for like a minute he is staring at the floor basically but screaming about how he's going to destroy the dungeon of doom and then win Hogan's belt and boasting like crazy.

all while staring directly at the floor and never changing his eye line until the last line of his promo

AND THEN HE GOES FOR A HIGHFIVE WITH JIMMY HART WHO LEFT HIM HANGING SO THEN HE'S LEFT WITH HIS ARM IN THE AIR AND STARTS WAVING TO THE CROWD LIKE HE'S THE QUEEN
