probably but I hope it's not and that after tonight he is never heard from again until 4 years from now when he scores me a point in the dead pool

I like talking shop re: coaching

As much as I complain I do enjoy it.

I was working with one kid on how to stick check properly. Told him to get underneath the opponents stick instead of coming over top. He did it the other day and saved a would-be goal on a rebound

it's a lot of fun.

we're at a tournament next weekend and our best D as well as a lame forward can't make it. Since we were playing a very weak team yesterday I took advantage of it to move some guys around and see how they would fit in in other positions.

one of our other D was back from suspension so I moved jr back to his usual center spot. He's one of the few kids who gets that you play up to the whistle.

anyway he got warned twice for hacking at the goalie. After the 2nd time he took the facoff in the zone and scored a garbage goal of a rebound.

One the way back he skated by the other team's bench and did some weird celebration which cost him a shift becasue I (frank)ing hate that poop.

anyway he was all pissed so the next shift he gets, he's back on and the goalie has the puck between his pads and jr just barrels into him.

it was right under the visitor's section of the rink so the parents (frank)ing erupted in boos and insults and the ref gave him 2 for roughing. lol he was very proud of his heel turn.

I love it from a wrasslin perspective and a removed fan.

Would be pissy if I was involved directly

the influence of EA Sports on kids is palpable and disappointing.

Not the first time I've had to tear down a kid for excessive celebrations bordering on taunting.

i went to wreddit to peep the suicide watch because of DB retiring

I really didn't think I'd be this upset over a professional wrestler retiring but I totally am and seriously might leave work early because of it. I'm legit sad.
---
Refuse to believe that Daniel Bryan has retired from wrestling. Feels like a work. Terrible news if it's true, one of the greatest to enter the squared circle and to lose him from the business at such a young age would be horrendous. Just thinking that we will have Roman Reigns headlining PPVs and no Bryan for the future is depressing. Holding out for a story.
---
You know that feeling you get when you watch who has fully invested themselves in their particular art? The mastery of the subtle aspects, the understanding of the "why" as much as the "how"? That's how I felt watching the best wrestler of his generation, Bryan Danielson. Whether it was as the best technical wrestler in the salad days of RoH, fooling around in the live-action comic book that is Chikara, or as the focus of several of the greatest moments in wrestling history in his all-too-brief WWE stint, he was an artist, a trancendant talent. One that will sorely be missed.
---
Man, I'm watching the WWE RAW the night after Wrestlemania 30, i don't think another superstar has ever been that over in the history of the WWE. Thank you, future WWE Hall of Famer, Daniel Bryan.
---
None of this would have ever happened it wasn't for Reigns and Vince
---
I hope he goes to UFC and has a fight with Punk. He could easily out mat wrestle him in a shoot and I'd get one more Bryan Danielson PPV
---
His journey to wrestle mania 30 was the best thing that I have ever watched in wrestling. He gave me hope when I was down. He got me so invested in a "fake" sport, that I should have never been. Thank You for all the memories Daniel, I will cherish them forever.
Bryan, you're my favorite and ALWAYS will be my favorite. Thank You Daniel Bryan.

He was the perfect opening match guy. Upper mid card and could put new talent over because the dude could work. But his character is bland.

found kicksave

DB is the first wrestler I've truly emotionally invested in --really emotionally invested in-- since "surfer" Sting back in my youth. Never has a character or storyline resonated and made me give a dang like his. Saying I'm bummed just doesn't effing cut it. I'm legitimately sad, not just for me, but for Bryan Danielson the man. I can't imagine what he's going through right now. God bless you sir.

Nah man, he's the greatest of all time

He's who got me back into wrestling. Never thought I'd be so invested in a wrestler since Austin back when I was a kid. Now that he's gone, I think I'm retiring from wrestling after I go to mania this year

Some people say Punk got them back into wrestling, for me it was Daniel Bryan. For some random reason I decided to watch SummerSlam 2013 and just fell in love with the guy at first sight.

Not this guy!

I will absolutely 100% be done with this company if they use this in any way shape or form to help with Reigns push. He better not get mentioned, be on screen or anything close to this during this segment.

This man deserves to go out there tonight with out any (frank)ing BS like selling a PPV or helping develop a character. Cole and JBL better keep their mouths shut to the whole damn time. Don't speak from the moment his music hits to the point he goes back through the walk way.

Daniel Bryan deserves more respect than any wrestler in any promotion. That includes the guys in the WWE HOF. They better treat him as such.

So this guy isn't Mark then...

The first PPV I ever saw live was Elimination Chamber 2014. When I started watching wrestling, Batista had just won the Rumble, and it looked like Wrestlemania was going to be mediocre.
And then Daniel Bryan happened. I didn't know about Team Hell No, or American Dragon, or even the Dazzler. But suddenly, there was this beacon of light, in WWE. Wrestlemania XXX was my first real Wrestlemania, and goddamn what a moment that was. I'll always have that moment, and it's all because of Daniel Bryan.

I enjoy the melancholy of this one tbh,

His journey to winning the title at Mania 30 is the most invested I've been in a wrestler since Austin battled McMahon. If this is indeed real, then thank you for everything Bryan. I'm going to be unconsolable tonight.
