Honestly I'm starting to feel that way. If the company can't commit to, and deliver a solid product every ppv, every raw, along with any presentation put on by them then don't bother trying. They shouldnt force feed us a half hearted effort with a full price tag.

yeah

and i just think a break would allow everyone (fans, wrestlers, writers) a chance to recharge their batteries and actually start to crave the product again...

edit: and im only talking like a 6 week offseason period

It wouldn't too bad of they did that, or cut the hours of weekly programs

This is something that I remember watching a few interviews about. A guy had a panel of former wrasslers and they all agreed that it needs a 2 month offseason basically around Christmas. Then storm back in with the Road to Wrasslemania

Do some tapings and a handful of live events, but for the sake of the wrestlers careers, bodies and fan saturation.

This was like 2006(?) and was in the wake of the Benoit thing. Jericho and DiBiase were two of the guys on it... I forget who the host was.

They brought up a lot of really good points about why it needs to happen, but then also all the points about how since the wrestlers are "independent contractors" they can never push for this kind of thing unless they literally get the entirety of the main eventers to lead the charge.

Just finished the Stone Cold season they have been airing and it was pretty good right up to the finale which was a disaster. They based the winner off a match each of them had with trainer Bill DeMott except they didn't show the matches? They just showed a montage of them with poopty WWE produced music playing over it followed by a 30 minute "live" elimination of Raw where both finalists proved how out of their element they were by being awkward and as unlikeable as humanly possible.

I googled it after and apparently the winner Andy was signed to FCW(basically NXT at the time) before the competition even started and they didn't mention it once the entire show.

All that being said I'll watch.

They should shut it down after Mania until the first week of June but Fat chance. Some other promotion would try to stake their claim in this dead space and Vince is too paranoid to let anyway even pretend to compete with WWE in any meaningful way.
