Is that really how bad the parking is at the Barclays that NHL players have to use public transportation?

I can't really see a scenario where Strome doesn't start with the big club. Pretty damn excited about Dal Colle and, to a slightly lesser extent, Ho-Sang.

Strome has a great chance of sticking and making the NHL roster by opening night. A. Lee could be the one to start in AHL until either an injury or trade is made at the F position.

Dal Colle could be the sleeper in a week draft, and not trying to be a homer but Ho-Sang could as well.

Instead of replying the same thing twice since I got more then reply I'll just do it this way. I agree ho sang has all the talent in the world and a top notch personality I love his confidence it will just be his size if anything that holds him back. I remember watching ho sang when he played the colts and he was the one player who stood out the most to me outside of scheifle. I haven't seen dal colle but everything I have read has me loving that kid

Having been at the rookies scrimmage in July, it's glaringly obvious that the reports on his shot being NHL-caliber already are 100% true. I think he's going to have to put some meat on his bones before he's going to get a look..but we're definitely excited to see him paired up with Tavares and Okposo in the near future.

Ho-Sang isn't horribly small, he's pretty average. I think the biggest mountain he's going to have to climb is his commitment to the other side of the puck. He was floating pretty bad in that rookie game, which is never going to fly at the NHL level. Nobody expects a Bergeron-like season out of him, but he has to at least be committed to learning some sort of game inside his own blueline.

For sure but he is a dynamic offensive talent by all accounts as well and I would of been happier then a pig in poop if he slipped to us but I got to say I am pretty impressed with quennville. I have been doing a ton of research on him and 25 goals in his second year in the whl isn't bad and he seems to have some great leadership qualities and stood up for team mates on a few occasions last year he is pretty similar to henrique but maybe a slightly better fighter he also impressed at the rookie camp in August having a pretty good one on one puck battle with Matteau who is now 6'2 225 and quennville is listed at 6'1 185. I'll be happy to see who we get in this years draft since we likely won't be picking 29th or 30th and our last three drafts we have traded a 9th overall and drafted in the last two spots of the first round so it's a little harder to get a stud when you have that but Schneider is worth the pick we gave up

Just curious. Is it physically possible for you to write a blog about ANYTHING involving this team without whining about Brooklyn?

I really hope Lee does not start in the AHL. I think Dal Colle has a real shot to make the team next year.

here's a different way of phrasing it, "if public transportation works well enough for NHL players, why is it not good enough for you, Dee?"

I'd really like to see all three of Nelson, Strome and Lee stick with the Isles out of camp, but I really don't expect to see Lee make the team unless Bailey or Grabner are moved out.

Yeah. Seems to be par for the course on this site. Have an opinion and even if you convey it in a constructive fashion it gets deleted. If you want to write in a public forum you subject yourself to opinion and God forbid criticism. You made that choice when you got that press pass and also when you took the job on this site and wherever else you write? Whatever integrity this site did have is quickly going out the window not only on Dee's threads but others as well. I corrected a blogger the other day in a polite manner and he deleted my post and made the correction. Not really a big deal but talk about a fragile ego

Another one was the other day when Garth(The Sabres blogger)said the Islanders were going to be in the running for McDavid/Eichel this coming draft. How the hell do you not know as a Buffalo fan that we traded our first pick to the Sabres next year?

Read the comments that ARE here. There's no problem IMO of calling out something in an article, but calling the blogger names/insulting will not remain.

There's a difference between "here's a different way of phrasing it, "if public transportation works well enough for NHL players, why is it not good enough for you, Dee?"

and

"You're really out of touch Dee. Its comical at this point"

People have a tendency to disrespect the bloggers directly. Argue their points, not throw insults at the writers (same goes with commenters).

Telling somebody they are out of touch is an insult?

Stop whining. Call me Capt. Obvious but if you don't like the music they play on the radio, you change the channel. Problem solved.

I focus my rants on the real problems with this team. Dee, to the best of my knowledge, has never cost us a point or negatively influenced the development of a player or been embarassed while attempting to coach an NHL team. Sorry to have called you out for abusing a woman, Mr. Rice. I know you take great pleasure in bullying the convo in this blog.
