And then we could add a weight to each corsi event depending on distance to the net. Wouldn't that stat correlate more to scoring chances and goals for?

It'd be useful for single games I think. But I don't think it would add too much value long-term, since ScoringChance% (i.e., shot location) virtually mirrors Corsi% long-term.

The correlation between the two is extremely tight.

0/10 is the grade I'd give OTT on NOT keeping Chara, Hossa, Havlat, Heatley, Bishop, Spezza and soon enough Ryan and Karlsson in their prime.

Condra can score 20 goals.... every 200 games or so.

All seriousness, his goal production isn't TERRIBLE. His game is defense; PK specialist. At his price, he's a very valuable depth player. I'd rather have him in the line up than Greening
