Great piece on Niagara, Bill!

The Falls were my late father-in-law's favorite place in the world to visit, and traveling there with him is one of my fondest memories.

Also thanks for the prospect updates, keep up the great work!

Keith Allen handled things the right way. Brilliant GM & good guy. Often overlooked in Flyers history

Absolutely!

Not only was Allen far and away the best GM in Flyers history, but, IMO, he was one of the best in NHL history.

Interestingly, my family and I are considering a trip to Niagara Falls late next month. I will be sure to visit the arena if we go. I am also trying to arrange a side trip to take my son to London for the annual Flyers preseason game in the Knights' arena.

So we all agree Sanheim has NHL potential. I know smallish Russian forwards taken in the 6th round like Fazleev are long shots, but I really think that playing with Sanheim in a good environment like Calgary helps the odds of getting the most out of his potential. Joel Otto is on the coaching staff there and I'm sure our scouts and development staff will see a lot of them.

i remember being a kid and going to watch the NF flyers play...had alot of great times in that arena...then we had the NF thunder who at the time a former captain of the Philly flyers played for...(i let you guess who) i remember watching Lindros when he was in juniors play the thunder also Brad may was on the team ( its a few years back trying to remember them all).....now the arena is just another tourist trap and all the great history is gone from there.....when they built the new arena which is on 4TH ave... they had a chance to have the Niagara ice dogs play there but they had to add 3000 seats city council refused and we lost then to St. Catherines ....now we only have a junior "C" team called the cannucks....not a bad team but a sad position from the teams we had here before

if you are coming to the falls a little tip for you if you drive 20 minutes to St. catherines you will save between 15-20% on any food....but if you do eat in the falls there is a place called antica pizzeria has some of the best Italian food in the falls wood oven pizza reasonably priced...also unless you are dead set on staying over looking the falls if you move a little into the city you can save huge on hotels....

Like others on here, one of few things on my bucket list is a trip to Niagra Falls. I was thinking about hitting up a Flyer/Sabres game than just make the trek upwards and try and make a nice vacation out of it.

Seems to me from the last couple of prospect updates we could have some late round gems in Fazleev and Aube-Kubel.

or he got killed by a puck

Stay on the Canadian side, most of the hotels on the U.S. side are overpriced and kind of seedy. Though to be fair, its been over 10 years since I was last there, so things may have changed.

I think Sanheim has not only potential but a tone of motivation after being drafted this past summer. This might be over selling and speaking too soon but I'd be surprised if we haven't found a legitimate number one in one of, if not both Morin and Sanheim. I'm crossing my fingers for a Keith and Seabrook or to a lesser extent Girardi and McDonough situation here.
