From the last blog:

I know about the difference . (1 of the few) Was just questioning the waiver part since on a 2-way they have a different pay scale for the AHL

Waivers has nothing to do with a 1 way or 2 way contract. That's what I'm trying to say. The only difference is money.

I think it's right in the ballpark that DD had mentioned for him.

He is young and will get better . If he ends up the odd man out . a couple extra years on his contract makes him more tradeable.

I think it's good. We gave Hodgson 4.25 over 6 and Moulson 5X5, I'd say Ennis has the best deal amongst the three.

As it stands someone is going to get moved eventually, A lot of #2's in the system. Odds increase substantially if they take another centre with their pick this year.

I think Hodgson is the odd man out honestly. If there is a deal made before the season, I bet he is involved. Also feel he could be moved at the deadline as his hit is relatively low, and if he is showing the signs of improvement, I would not be shocked if he is moved and Grigo/Armia takes his spot at the deadline.

Both of these guys have a lot to prove before that will happen. I know a lot of people on here don't like Hodgson because he's not very good defensively, but he at least has a good attitude and works hard. That can't be said for Grigo and Armia at the moment.

probably not this year...if i'm not mistaken he's slated for lw duties which would probably put him on the second line

Yes and no. I don't think Hodgson's been given a fair shake to be honest. With the way he was treated in Vancouver, to the changes in the coaching staff multiple times here. Not to mention he's not exactly old or anything. He's only 24. I realize that plenty of other guys have accomplished more by that age in the league, but I'm not ready to kick him to the curb just yet.

who exactly are our centers going to be this year? we have ennis, girgensons, and then what? reinhart is a maybe, hodgson is on a wing, larsson and grigorenko both probably need a year in rochester.

I should have elaborated before I said that, but if either one of them shows a consistent effort and are worthy, they will be the ones that would get their chance. If they have not earned the opportunity, then it would likely be Ellis, or one of the other forwards that do not seem to have a spot in the line-up yet.

I think ennis is slated as the top one...methinks Girgensons gets a shot at #2...Larsson should be in the mix for bottom two and am of the opinion that foligno gets a shot, maybe as #4 or they'll go with mccormick

other than that...*shrugs*

Larsson needs to clear waivers in order to go back down as far as I know. He's already played most of the last 3 years in the AHL.

I doubt they send Reinhart back to Jr, so right now that sets us up to have (in no particular order): Girgensons, Ennis, Reinhart, Larsson, and McCormick.

Mitchell is listed as a center on the Sabres site as well. And if they needed to, they could put Hodgson there. So there's plenty of options.

There has been speculation that the Sabres might eventually find themselves choosing between Ennis and Hodgson. If that's the case, the speed of Ennis probably makes him more valuable to this club.

Regardless, if the Sabres can establish 3 lines of 20g guys... the "Goals byComitte" approach could work.
