Im all in on mantha. Outstanding blog again. You captured the atmosphere I remember growing up listening to the games. I remember sneaking a walkman (a portable radio the size of a loaf of bread, complete with awful headphones, cutting edge technology, its amazing we won the cold war) to bed to listen to the west coast games. Rj made it feel like you were right there. Hoping that if the sabres make it to the cup in a few years that rj comes back and does the cup games.

Nyquist is a good young player, but he's got a shooting % that will not be maintained, and was a non factor in the playoffs

I still wouldn't move Myers unless it's Mantha++

I can't tell you how many times, as a kid, I would drift off sleeping to sabre games on radio.

sabres score and I wake up and listen to the rest of the game

If I'm Murray, I'm not targeting anyone, I just wait until someone offers something ridiculous.

There is no motivation to move Myers until you know exactly how good the young guys are on D. Zadarov and McCabe could end up being busts and all the sudden your defense is pretty weak.

Sometimes we'd turn the TV down and then up the radio, too. Ted Darling was incredible in his own right, but he was no RJ.
