Wow putting up an article answering the question I just posted in the last thread a few minutes ago. Well done Michael.

Good blog but I have no use for Foligno or McBain, we can do better.

idk, 89...foligno is what he is, a fourth-liner, maybe bottom-six...as for mcbain, I love his shot...it's right on...like I said he's still young and offensive d-men need time...I don't think two years on both is asking too much

I'll catch some fire, but I dont mind trying to bring in Briere for a late pick if the Habs are trying to dump salary.

I have no problem bringing McBain back, but 2yrs for 5 Million total is way high.

At this point I wouldn't care either way with Foligno, he can stay because we do need to reach the cap floor and if not then so be it. McBain can wank off for all I care.

much maligned, but they need d-men...in looking at what murray jettisoned, mcbain may not be his style

I'm sure Foligno stays but I want no part of McBain.

his cap-hit was $1.8M...$700k isn't that big of a jump and I am of the opinion that it really doesn't matter what he makes the next two seasons anyway

In 2 years Foligno will be 24 and will hopefully be allowed to actually play his role on this team. He has been right in the middle of numerous line shuffles and asked too much of imo. If you use him on the forecheck correctly in a 2nd/3rd line role and on the penalty kill then suddenly he becomes very affective.

Then again he may be played out depending on what this roster looks like in 2016. He's worth finding out about though.

Foligno will be better. He had an excuse. He recently had shoulder surgery. I read McBain will not be back but Ruhwedel may.

Decent point.

And a guy like that, along with Weber, helps the McTank for McEichel.
