There may not be a lot of quality top-end forwards in this year free agency crop. However, the same cannot be said for bottom 6 role-playing special team and face-off specialists.

Aside from the fact that the Leafs clearly need help on the blueline, some of their other clear issues this season was Penalty Killing and Face-off Percentage.

While I would call it more of a shopping list, I believe the Leafs will target the following 3 players for such roles:

(1) Brian Boyle - at 6'7 and 245 lbs, if the Leafs wanted size at Centre, they would absolutely get it with Boyle. He is great on the face-offs as well.

(2) Steve Ott - a leader, a bully and tough-as-nails. Exactly what the Leafs are looking for.

(3) Marcel Goc - he is a great face-off man, hits well and is reasonably fast.

Leaf Fans, Jay McClement and Dave Bolland may not be back next season. If you choose, who would you replace them with?
