I agree, Chris stewart would be the kind of player we should pick up. Like I said earlier, Briere can be a surprise as we move forward. I wonder what Gio would fetch, but MB needs to doing something soon!Very soon! We need scoring, we cant expect to have Price and Budaj win all of our games. If the DD line isnt producing it becomes a total grind to get a goal.

On a side note Willey, would you trade PK for Mackinnon?

Would I, Yes. Subban is my favrite NHL player but the idea of MacKinnon and Galchenyuk as a 1-2 punch down the middle is the potential of championships.

Not without a first pairing dman which is what we'd lack and suddenly you'd see people talk about moving forward depth for a top blueliner.

I understand where you're coming from but this game is about scoring. PK is about offense, which is why he leads this team in scoring but he is not a game changer. I find that his game is going the wrong way, rushes to the opposition blue line and then passes the puck backwards. PK is about PK, but he will never make another player better. Markov at his prime made all of his partners look like stars, and on the PP was always a threat. I like PK, but we need a game changer type player and I think MacKinnon wIl be that guy. Unless we draft a player of that type, you will have to trade, and that means trading value for value. BTW, Beaulieu may be your first line D pairing in the near future.

i disagree with so much of this.

Ask any team in the league they will tell you they are watching PK every time hes on the ice because he's a game changer and a constant threat. You're buying far too much into what TSN is spewing if you think he's selfish etc...

I honestly don't know who I'd rather have going forward, PK or MacKinnon. PK has the ability to be a top 10 dman for the next 10 years and MacKinnon could be a PPG player for the next 12. I suspect either way you're good so it depends on organizational needs at that point.

PK is 24 coming off a Norris. I question his use at times and I'm no fan of Therrien, but PK has improved since the new regime has come on board. I think you're over reacting.

You still think that I am over reacting? You would of thought that he would be on fire to prove that he should have played in Sochi, wow! After watching the defensive core that played in Sochi, I am more convinced that he should be traded. PK will never make other players better...move him while he still (???) has value.
