Have to agree with him on both points.

Bottom line is all diehard hockey fans do not mind a good clean fight once in awhile. It is a physical game and things happen spontaneously. I have to agree they have made the game faster by taking out the red line but that is the number one reason for increased concussions. Speed kills and it is no different in hockey. That being said TIger is still an A hole. I once bought him, Gary Bromley and Kevin McCarthy a drink at Boston Pizza in Vancouver one night and Kevin and Bones both thanked me, Tiger just said what about our wives, lol. I should have said do your wives play for the Canucks

Agree

As for Tigger's comments, "good balance" would absolutely have prevented Parros from being pulled down by Orr holding onto his sweater. Simple solution ... NOT.

Here's a problem Hockey's got, you got to many liberal thinking people watching the game. You gotta get rid of them. Name the last time they every changed a rule in baseball, or in NFL or the NBA.

Tiger has either not payed attention to the NFL for the past decade, or he's a little forgetful after too many fists to the head.

And the NBA changed a bunch of fighting-related rules after the Pacers went nuts, and baseball has added stiffer penalties for hit batters, to prevent beanbrawls.

Not really the type of person I want I take my information from. Ask a fight/PIM machine to comment on fight and whether the game should keep it is like asking a former star like Yzerman. Who really has the important opinion are the fans.

"well, dave, as a matter of fact the nfl has made major changes to the game to protect players from serious injury of the last decade."

This. All leagues are changing rules on fighting and head shots. Tiger is a Richard head. Its not like they wouldn't have rules for the contingency of goons intentionally going after stars.

I still think fighting may have a place, but the staged fights are ridiculous.

AMEN... this type of comments are indeed leftist or come from women who can't watch the sport, they get to anxious every time there is a hit. If hockey doesn't settle well with your stomach, then by all means don't watch it.

For all leftist, feminists and other people complaining about the physicality of the sport:

1. You are new at watching this game, it reeks of evidence. Otherwise, you would have learnt to shut up about it.

2. Being a new fan does not entitle your voice to override all other fans who have been playing or watching the game at a very young age.

3. Cordially, please blend in the hockey melting plot, or else stop trying to change the sport to your liking, its a clear cut disrespect to the life long fans of the sport.

*Note: I agree that some nasty shot heads and intentional injuries should be dealt with, but remove fighting from hockey, and the sport will die.
