Given that the Flames are far more likely to get a top 5 pick (nearly a given now) you should be the one concerned about that...
- annoyance_101

true but you cant help but admit the canucks taken a dive in the standings this year
pun intended

Agreed....although I still believe (as much as I hate to admit it)...that the Canucks somehow squeak into the playoffs. It won't be a long playoff run though....

concerned? 1st year rebuild the higher the pick the better and they won't be last like I said (and you mocked me)

Canucks are an older team that just gave players in their 30s raises and long term 7M deals and they are fighting tooth and nail to make the playoffs when some thought they would contend

with the Canucks up 3-0 in the 3rd and losing 7-4 tonight I'm getting a little worried that the Canucks might take the Flames top 5 pick

learning a new system takes time...keep sinking flames Also Canucks have been behind the 8 ball many years in the past few years in the first half of the year and done just fine...especially comparing to the Lames
- annoyance_101

how's that new system coming along?

At the beginning of the year, did you ever think you'd be hanging your hat on the nucks being slightly better than the Flames?

Don't forget to diss the Oilers in your reply to me, as if being better than the Oilers was any consolation for a team with the Sedins, Kesler, Hamhuis, Bieksa, Edler, Schneider, Luongo...

was wondering when he was gonna crawl out of his hole

Flames are in year one of a rebuild and trending upwards...30 or so points above the last place team (told you so)

Contender Canucks 35 wins
First year rebuild Flames 35 wins

you can't win this one buddy

You are actually trying to trash talk the Flames? Your pathetic excuse for a team finished with exactly one more regulation win than the Flames who are in year one of a rebuild. Run along son.

Since this thread was started to speculate on who the Flames might take, perhaps that discussion can take place now?

I have a feeling by the time it gets to us, Reinhart, Ekblad and Bennett will be gone. So if CS consensus aligns with Flames scouting the chances are we are looking at Leon Draisaitl or Michael Dal Colle. Anyone have a preference?

It's been pretty clear that ever since they went to the cup final, that they needed changes, the 6th overall pick is a good place to start. The oilers and flames should be far further in to their rebuild than they appear to be, firing gillis was the best thing they could have done.

and lol @ Hartley trolling the Canucks so bad it cost them their entire season and cost the coach his job

If you think Hartley cost Torts his job, you need to pay more attention, Hartleys not the reasons that the PP sucked, Hartleys not the reason that the Islanders scored 7 goals in 1 period, Hartleys not the reason that Lack played the Heritage Classic game...
