It'd be great if Stolarz can build off his good half year in the OHL.

It'd be awesome if we could vote for the March, 2012 Bryzgalov and ignore the rest of his tenure.

Wow... What an awful group of goaltenders. That's a tallest midget contest.

There's no way anyone but Cechmanek should be voted for. By far the best goalie of the last decade+. Biron and Boucher could battle it out for backup.

Edit: Bill, that said, shouldn't Bobrovsky be on the list? He spent more time here than several of the other goalies.

This goalie poll is depressing...

Still 2010 was the most successful season to date, so I had to go with Boosh

I picked Boucher just cause he tried his hardest for us and had some good runs even though he wasnt the most talented.

Cechmanek had a couple great REGULAR seasons but in the playoffs he was about as abysmal as Bryzgalov........

Had to stare at that list for awhile before picking Boucher.. Although, there is one name on that list who currently holds the Flyers' shoutout record

I know... I thought they outplayed Chicago in that series, they just needed a goaltending performance that wasnt soft in that series and the cup would have been ours.

Not really. He wasn't great in the playoff, by any stretch, but he was never the biggest reason they lost a series. He had a bad statistical 1st playoff year, but posted very good numbers in each of the next two seasons.

His first playoff season, the Flyers averaged 2.16 goals for, and they were horrible defensively.

His second playoff season, his numbers were stellar 1.85 GAA, .936 save % and his team scored 2 goals in 5 games.

The third season, his numbers were good-.909 save % and a 2.15 GAA. But he was inconsistent, playing stellar one game, then allowing weak goals the next.

But for most of Cechmanek's tenure he was hamstrung by a team that underachieved in the offensive end.

Was he, or was it the team in front of him not getting it done?

Edit: leight (no, I didn't vote for him even though I considered it based on 2010 playoffs)

I really didn't know who to pick either, so I asked myself which goalie gave me the most good memories in the playoffs.

My gut feeling was Esche. Almost coulda been anybody else.

Looking at that list one thing is clear to me...Flyers management does not know how to assess goalies vis-a-vis the rest of the team they're putting out there.

That would be Lights out Leighton....with the playoff shutout record in a single series

The other Shutout record...yea they jettisoned him to....well we don't know where he will play yet.

Wasn't that basically Clarke's response to why they signed Hackett
