Ann and Nancy Wilson give tribute to the band. Robert Plant actually seems to shed a tear near the end. They were an incredible band.

Yeah, I saw that. Of course Plant had less than favorable things to say later on. He claims to have been more overcome by the moment than the performance.

For me it was when I caught the documentary about how many songs they ripped off from old, broke blues guys without giving them any credit (it was about other bands too, but Zeppelin took up most of it...can't find the documentary anymore, but just YouTube Led Zeppelin and ripped off songs and you'll have more examples than you care to listen to). Re-making/covering songs is cool, but not when you put your own writing credits on them and pass them off as originals.

Still consider Led Zeppelin IV one of the rare near-perfect albums out there that you can listen to from beginning to end, and I still consider them a good band, but that took some of the air out of the blimp for me.

Trick was, EVERYONE from the 1950's through early 1980's were 'borrowing' from someone or another. It simply wasn't the norm for them to give song writing credits back then. I've seen the videos showing the song links, some were major reaches, others weren't. It continued after when bands like Whitesnake, Kingdom Clone, etc continued to lift Zep stuff. Of course the only real parallels could be drawn between the first two albums. After that, there wasn't much to complain about. The most noteworthy was Jake Holmes "I'm Confused" which eventually became "Dazed and Confused". Willie Dixon did eventually get his share for 'Whole Lotta Love".
