Most nights the Refs Suck and are erratic.
I guess if we are keeping that poopty pick at 21 we need to go UFA to fill in the spots needed.

Dude, when the Flyers lost to the Hawks a few years back, I can't remember any calls the refs made or didn't make that screwed the Flyers (except the winning goal by Kane never went into the net)...
- Flyfreaky

I remember Ladd's elbow on Kesler that year, or maybe that was the year before.

On a side note, the media seems to be making a big deal out of the over the glass penalty. Personally, I think they're taking the wrong angle to it. The reason it is called every time is because it's a black and white penalty and requires little judgement. We need more penalties to be like this, not take them away.

Does anybody really want to go back to the over the glass to relieve the pressure days?? The officials obviously have far too much flexibility in calling penalties, which is the problem. All in the name of creating parity. The only way to get consistent officiating on a nightly basis is to draw a firm line, and enforce it.

Agreed. Over the glass if you're going to call it is an easy call.

id like to also see the nhl get better at calling skate goals... also over the glass calls...

that said the refing has been atrocious as of late. do you think some of that can be mitigated with the linesman being able to call stuff or at least maybe having reviews? in soccer and football, it seems that linesman have a little more say on infractions making it far more fair and balanced the calls. the excuse that the game is to fast and the refs cant see everything is ridiculous.

I wonder if refing has helped some of bettman's expansion teams win cups... the tampa, Carolina and Anaheim series each had their share of terrible calls in the finals.

Only if that's Mike Richards. There's no way Brad Richards could keep up with our wingers.

Unfortunately, yes I have to, with the immaturity level that exists around here it needs to be reminded of constantly.

Nice job Adam.

Yes to Bo Horvat or Jacob De La Rose.

Meh to Max Domi or Rychel.

No to Fucale, he is the product of a great team in front of him and would be a waste of a 1st round pick, imo.
