Ahhh.. The ol take your words to form political opinions on my behalf schtick.

All I said was Harper is an idiot, and he is. Mulcair and Trudeau are full of holes to, but I'd feel more confident with either leading the country in a barrel of areas.

- joel878

With Harper in charge, Canadians don`t have to pay for Quebec. Watch what happens if the Liberals get back in, back to Quebec referendums and threats and Trudeau, being Pro Quebec, selling out Canada to them for another 20 years. Least with Harper Quebec is quiet cause they know he won`t sell out all of Canada to keep them in

Quebec may be quiet, but our global reputation is taking big hits under Harper. Let alone the internal Canadian issues under his shady government.

Do you believe its been put to bed?

It hasn`t stopped since what...1759? Bad enough King George gives power to the catholic church in Quebec (so their priests can didle your children for centuries) but to give the french rule has done what and for how many centuries now? Come on, you cannot say that without a smurk on your face unless your one of them!

Harper has done a good job, considering what he replaced. It amazes me, that the media goes nuts over a $90,000.00 payment to a Tory Senator, and it's not even taxpayer money. When Chretien was Prime Minister, the Liberals had the Sponsorship Scandal, that fleeced taxpayers for $100's of millions of dollars, that was used in a kickback scheme for the Liberal Party of Canada. Now they want to re-elect them back in? Justin Trudeau has done virtually nothing, in the real world. He's just piggybacking on his father's famous name and he was no hell with the economy either.

Gillis is going to steal Eakins as a "(frank) you Nonis" for not bending over and taking Luongo.

This sh1t writes itself...

Harper! He co-wrote the clarity act. It set out perimeters on how the question was to be asked, what constituted sovereignty and what you get and don't get, if you leave.

Eakins only works, if they strip their team of the veteran core and go with youth. If they keep this roster, they get the Calgary model.

Agreed! The Liberals created all the decent in this country from bringing in immigrants to take Canadians jobs and subsidizing them to this day and creating the crisis of 1970 in Quebec. The FLQ was created by the liberals and when Bourassa and Jean Drapeau couldn`t handle the fallout of the kidnappings of James Cross and execution of Pierre Laporte, Trudeau invokes the war measures act!? The Liberals will forever be a target of Quebec

They virtually destroyed the founding people of this country, the United Empire Loyalists. There are so very few people left, that we're decendents that settled here, after the American Revolution, still around. Lester B. Pearson was the one that brought in the Bilingual and Multiculturalism departments. They thought it was best, to change the makeup of the country, by concentrating immigration on 3rd world countries, at the expense of the European countries. What we have now, are a bunch of squabbling immigrant groups. Quebec was allowed to protect their interests and the rest of Canada was allowed to turn into a cultural wasteland. That's why we've had 40 years of Quebec Prime Ministers, until Harper was elected. Quebec dominated the political scene, because they had a common people and common goal, while the rest of Canada was a bunch of uncommon groups that distrusted one another. The Liberals would sweep Quebec and the Liberals would hand pick the groups to support, in the rest of Canada, to get elected. Mulroney did the same and Quebec wagged the dog for 40+ years. We don't need to go back to that scenario.

ahem.. it was 40 million, no need to blow it out of proportion!

come on. the watchdogs had to tug the harper governments to keep them from throwing 40 billion away on jets, while they swindle the public into thinking it's 15.

there are troops in afghanistan being forced to return their danger pay right now.

harper is an idiot, and and as shady as they get. i've yet to see him honestly take a stand and explain even one of his flubs yet. he's a professional deflector.. even his own MP's are speaking publicly about the muzzle... i'm suprised he hasn't tried to restructure the house yet, making sure you have to be conservative to speak.

The cross section of the Sponsorship Scandal inquiry was a 10% sample of the known money stolen. So take your $40 million and times that by 10.

On the Jets, they have yet to be purchased and they're still hammering out the costs. Until they actually sign such a deal, then it's a moot point.

It's amazing that the two parties of the left, have leaders from Quebec. Why not? They're easy to buy. Just keep them awash in cash from other provinces and they'll vote for you. It must be nice to have the lowest tuition, of all of the provinces and still protest for less, or $7.00 daycare. Who pays for that? The rest of us!

Sam Hughes, in June 1917, informed the House of Commons that of the 432,000 Canadian volunteers fewer than 5% came from French Canada, which made up 28% of the Canadian population at that time.
Almost all French Canadians opposed conscription: they felt that they had no particular loyalty to either Britain or France. Led by Henri Bourassa, they felt their only loyalty was to Quebec. English Canadians generally supported the war effort as they felt stronger ties to the British Empire.[1] The Conscription Crisis of 1917 caused a considerable rift along ethnic lines between Anglophones and Francophones.

Now thats CANADIAN

In the call to arms, for World War 1, 600,000 Orangemen joined the Canadian military. They went to liberate France, while their Canadian lackey's hid in the sugar bushes of Quebec. Today, the Orange Lodge is almost gone. A gift from the social engineers, in the Liberal Party of Canada.

How much has the Harper government spent researching such a deal, before and after the watchdogs yanked them back, informed taxpayers they were being swindled for about 25 billion? How much money have they pissed away getting to this point?

Forget the list if conservative senators swindling tax payers with their expenses, the screw job was Harper loading his conservative buddies with a quarter of a million annually to sit in the senate and do nothing. Check out some attendance numbers.

Your pro Harper views all boil back to anti Quebec views, half of which are aimed at the citizens of Quebec, not the politicians.

Bad news is, you're heading towards the minority. Public opinion polls are suggesting this country would prefer to take a chance electing the most inexperienced leader in house history, just to tank the keys to the country out of con artist harpers hands. That's telling...

Chara took a 4 minute high stick in this series that didn't get called. Welcome to reality. I could claim that the flyers should have Patrick Kane, but I don't hold that like you just did a high sticking call.
