You may want to edit "D-corpse" to "D-corps" though. They may have looked dead at times, but I think they still had a pulse.

some are regretting it in philly, but it was an even swap & philly would need to make another similar move to balance out up front & back.

Nonis has a tough decision to make on Dion's future with Leafs. First and foremost is he captain material on and off the ice. We the fan can only guess at that. I like Dion but not at 6.5M and any new contract offer would need to head south. If Nonis decides he is not captain material or cannot sign him to a reasonable extension he needs to be traded before season starts. Trading your captain during the year or at trade deadline would be disruptive to a young team trying to make the next step. Bottom line this team needs a couple of minute eaters and trustworthy d-men for last 2 minutes of a game.

I think he played a big role in getting this team to the playoffs both on and off the ice. Everyone wants to jump on him saying he not captain material. He took a team that was supposed to bottom of the east and captained them into 5th in the east. He's doing a good job everyone needs to look at the positives he brings not always negatives.
