Saw on twitter that Drewiske was flying into Philly this morning to join the Habs, not that he'll be a difference-maker if he plays.

Happy deadline day, everyone. Let the madness begin.

The Flyers picked the worst time to have a 2 game winning streak, fooling people into thinking the Flyers have a realistic chance at the playoffs as the deadline approaches. The Flyers should be in full seller mode (not that they have much to part with that isn't on IR). Let's hope Holmgren continues to hold off on acquiring a rental for playoffs.

Thankfully Clowe (overpayment), Jagr (overpayment), and Bouwmeester (Feaster-payment) have all been dealt. Hopefully we're not serious about Luongo, and just messing around, driving prices up on players.

Bonne anniversaire, Bernie!

Homer's gonna be quiet at the deadline this year.

Best moves leading up to the deadline, Homer standing pat so far. Glad we haven't overpaid for any other players we have been linked to. Now if we can just stay away from Yandle, Luongo and anyone else they say we are "in" on it will be a successful Deadline.

I am not expecting any moves at all today from the Flyers. If by chance Homer could work a deal for a Dman with St Louis or the like, it would be fantastic, but from what I read yesterday, Homer will probably look to make the big moves to acquire D at the draft. I'd love to acquire more picks if possible because, as we see the playoffs are a pipe dream.. 6 pts back again.. too many teams to pass.

I'm interested in grabbing Ian Cole out of St. Louis, maybe snatch a few picks for vets like Knuble, Gagne or Feds. Other than that I'd rather just be bystanders in today's melee.

Agreed. Rusty Gags an d Knubs all need to be moved for whatever picks you can get today.

Bill, have to ask. What do you make of ek constantly linking the Flyers to Luongo. Obvious answer is generating hits for the site, just wanted your take since you consider ek a friend.

Is there really ever a bad time for a winning streak? I don't think anyone is fooled by anything.

Man, a move like that would be fantastic. THis is what I hope Homer does today.. I am impatient, so I would like to see him start to address the D now and fleece some desperate team..

Columbus has apparently made the Kings' 1st rounder available for offensive help. Not sure what we would have to spare that's worth a 1st...

Actually, I don't think there's been any overpayments. For a supposed seller's market, the prices paid have been reasonable.

I want them to battle to the end. As unlikely as the playoffs might be, I want the team, especially the kids, to battle to the end.
