Has anybody played Battlefield 1 yet? They say the campaign is composed of several short stories spanning different perspectives of the war. I might have to give it a go haven't PLAYED A DECENT SHOOTER IN AGES.

It's a standout moment for sure. When we spawned my character had a clear view of yours as you just pivoted 180 degrees towards the back of the carrier, sprint and leap off in the wrong direction for no apparent reason.

For some reason I decided to follow and do the same and we both just floated around in the water giggling like school kids while Desi, observing deafening silence, promptly eradicated all enemy forces single handily from a fighter jet.

I've heard the second is even better.

I don't really game on PS4 (its quite literally a Netflix and occasional baseball machine) but I'm so bad at shooters on PC. I just fat finger buttons and screw up too often that I rage quit because my patience can't handle it

Sat next to the hockey hipster on a date tonight at the Teddy Bear Toss game. Dude was right behind me and said stuff like "Junior hockey is so much more visceral. The atmosphere at these games is so real and genuine. Unlike the corporate nature of NHL games. I'm not even an NHL fan, because real people can't afford to go. I'm proudly a WHL fan first, and have been since the team came to town."

His date didn't seem to care about any of his conversation topics except when he said "Wanna go grab a drink?"

I have been thinking about this one a lot and concluded that the individual in question is correct, but correct for the wrong reasons and therefore a (frank)ing idiot.

I took my trade in a small butt(frank) nowhere NS town that probably make whatever field in Sask. you live in look like a bustling metropolis. Anyway, only form of entertainment they had was a local Junior B team(not even a single movie theatre lol) and it was some of the most entertaining and raucous hockey environments I've ever witnessed. Busloads of fans from other nearby towns would ascend on the "town" and the stands would be full of back and forth chants and fights. Good times watching it all unfold.

He's not entirely wrong. Junior games have a more "fun" atmosphere and the crowd is different.

But the level of pretentiousness... I just cant even.

A friend of mine played Junior in northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This sounds like his experience. He said his team bus sometimes would even have fans ride on it to games and it was like Friday Night Lights where the town shut down for the junior game

Also sorta had this happen one time when I played in Whitecourt. Except we had no fans and it was three periods of various "Go (frank) yourselves" chants. There were some old ladies behind the bench that were the absolute filthiest mouthed old women on the planet. They'd put SOD camp boys to shame
