Cujo and Felix. Grew up with those two and loved them.

Eddie's was awesome as well, but it looked better in red.

Voted for Favell. His mask was simple yet intimidating.

I'm suprised no one has picked Rynnas or Scrivens, I thought they were quite good.

I know you don't like "off-the-list" suggestions, but Raycroft had a good mask:

Plus it includes some that ARE on the list, so it wins by default

Yeah...tbh, there are a few I would have liked to add, but frankly given the list of goalies each team had, I had to develop some sort of criteria used, or else each team would have 20+ goalies....

That one is cool, though.

Favell gets my vote for sure. Gotta give the guy extra points for painting his own mask

did not know that. Not a leafs fan, but it look like it could get inside a shooter's mind and that's what i liked about it.

Favell for the win.

But his teammate Dunc Wilson wasn't too shabby, either:

oh I'm just kidding but it sure looks like it

There are chips in the paint where the orange from when he was a flyer shows through - you can even see the crack over his left eye in the Leaf's one if you look close

this one's much better

That's my all-time favourite.

That's how me and my brothers painted our road hockey mask.

And one other thought:

His blocker looks huge, but despite that, look at how much mesh you can see.

A goalie standing in his crease, and you can still see a lot of mesh.

Not like that today, is it?

will you just be writing this series of blogs for the original 6 only or will you be like a best and worst of all time? You could also do the best masks of the current goalies in the nhl.

That's not his goalie mask.

He was getting his hair dyed.

All told, I have to say I think around the league the european goalies have much more imaginative masks.
Personally I'm not sure I like masks that don't have much to do with the team.

Damian rhodes Maple leaves is the best match to the uniform and so gets my nod as the all time best leaf mask.

Small goalie, out of position and wearing small pads. Yeah, that'd do it.
