I'm not a big fan of his, never have been but this is a little rough. Putting this guy in the same sentence as Wang, Snow, and Capuano? That's just plain wrong

You don't have to do Ricky's PR for him, Dee. I'm sure he's a great guy and he has a heart of gold. That's all very wonderful, but his time has passed. Nothing personal, but as they say, the sport is a business. There have been plenty of people at my company over the years that I got along great with who simply couldn't get the job done for whatever reason. I'm not sorry that I no longer have to work with them, even if I still call some of them my friends.

How about you guys (your team) come and live in Seattle? It's a beautiful city! We can build a new rink for you

dee don't talk down to us...i have met Dipi dozens of times and he is a stand up guy...that doesn;t change the fact that he can't physically play hockey and is stuck blocking a roster space

Oh well, at least we have the same annual nonsense to debate here...ownership, spending, DP, "no one wants to come here," etc....while the rest of the Atlantic engages in an arms race for the league's elite talent. This is going to be a long, long season unless someone in this organization snaps out of it and does something before the puck drops.

Worst Blog of the year!! REally RDP? That is who we have to talk about? One of the worse goalies in Islander history and we have to talk about him. The reason you can have an interview with him is because no one else in the world wants to interview cause he is a has been, waste of time. I cant beleive I woke up this morning turned to hockeybuzz and I see an article about him. This day is not going to be good

He says the same thing every year, and I'm sure he means it...but this is all very familiar: how frustrating it's been, how he appreciates everything more now, how he feels great and can't wait to get going. Like virtually every other issue with this organization, it's the same thing repeating over and over and over again. All we need is Bill Murray driving Puxatawny Phil off of a cliff in an attempt to make it stop.

I didn't read the blog but this is quite a statement. I know you hate RDP but are you sure this was the worst blog of the year? I said that about every blog I read before I stopped reading them. I'm sure there has to be a worse one?

“My deal was probably the first deal, but it’s straight through. Average salary, it’s not front loaded, it’s not back loaded, there’s no incentives. It is what it is and that’s it. When we were negotiating the contract I said ‘Listen, I don’t want to play in the NHL for another team. This is the team.’ I love where I am.”

I could almost see the tears welling up in Kaspers eyes.....heartwarming!

Yes I am going to go with worse blog I mean come on RDP. While the Rangers get Nash we talk about guys not wanting to play here and then RDP who is irrelevant to this team. Worse blog. Please I know this is evil but for the sake of the team I hope there is another Rolston out there to shoot a puck at his head
