Dionne also played for Detroit and only played for LA of those 6 teams.

and Dallas should be included as one of the cup winning teams, technically.

Dallas was not an expansion team.... Miin became Dallas MANY years after expansion...

And I do think only LA, Philly and Pitts should be included in the hint for teams winning the cup.... to include Dallas is a FARRRRRRRRR Reach

That doesn't change the fact that they are the same franchise. The Dallas Stars are considered to have entered the league in 1967.

I'm just glad to have found someone who has taken longer than an hour to figure out!!!

How about a very vague hint? One of the clues is a little tricky as it has people making an assumption that is not accurate for this player...

Best guess here (and, in fact, the only way this makes sense to me, having checked out the HHoF site): The player in question was not inducted into the HoF as a player.

Edit: No, wait. "I am a hockey hall of fame member" is not the same as "I am a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame." They're a member of a different HoF, aren't they?

The trick was the Goal, it was unique because he was a goalie.

Hextall isn't in HHOF, and he played with only 1 1967 expansion team. Nordiques came into NHL during WHA merger and the Isles were a 1970 expansion.

Good tip!

Ilkka Sinisalo.

Played for the Flyers, North Stars, and Kings, first career goal was a penalty shot, he's the Flyers' European scout, and is a member of the Finnish HoF.
