i dont want to trade him now either, but as far as the draft im talking a sign and trade type deal.... not a trade his rights deal. a sign and trade could make him worth gold - predswilrule
Yeah, but that would apply at the deadline as well.
Also, if I was Suter, I wouldn't sign at the draft. You're only a few days (weeks?) from free agency. I'd wait and listen to see what every other team has to offer me. |

What about to ANA: Blum, Watson and 1st and to NSH: Bobby Ryan or to NJ: Blum or Ellis, Lindback, Watson, 1st and to NSH: Parise? - PredsFan8
Not to argue, but Blum can't even crack our lineup right now ... you think ANA would settle for Blum and Watson? They'd ask for Ellis/Josi and Smith/Wilson and our 1st. |

i remember as a young NYHL player (early 2000's) going north and getting blown out of the water. i am glad to hear NJP winning silver stick. its a huge tournament for young players. Southern hockey has come along way! - benderboots
It is a great tourney, my oldest son played in it a couple years ago and lost every game but had a great time. The hockey hall of fame was the highlight of the trip. |

Blum is still a top tier prospect.....and don't forget, he's from Anaheim. |

Sulzer would play every night for the Ducks. Blum would be a great fit for Anaheim!
They could use goaltending as well, not sure if Hiller will be back to his old self again. Blum, Watson, Lindback and 1st for Ryan would be a great trade for both sides. |

just printed my tickets for the Rangers and Islanders games. I got a front row seat at the Islanders for $55 plus if you go through ticket exchange on the teams homepage you don't have to pay the ticketmaster fees. i got the Rangers ticket for about $40 under face value.
and now the Letterman show called me back about tickets. now if we just resign Suter over the weekend this will be a good trip. |

you have a point on the not signing, but at the deadline you will only get picks and/or prospects. imo that is a lousy deal no matter what it is and also takes a large step toward destroying this season. im sure that would convince weber to sign. as i stated before, a parise for suter type deal now would be as good as its going to get. |

Curious...Legwand from Halischuck...ha! - Section106
Good game from Legwand and that would have still been the case imo even if he hadn't scored the two goals. The Ghost returns.
When Legwand plays like he can, he will almost always help his team earn a win.
Classy come-back Preds. Good team play and a nice effort all around. |

i totally disagree. i think the return will be much higher ( for nashville) at the draft. we need a scorer... a proven scorer, not picks and prospects. the long term value may be higher at the deadline, but if it isnt what we need then we still lose. except for a suter for parise type deal we would be idiotic to trade him 6 weeks from now. on the otf morning notes a couple articles alluded to the same thought process. - predswilrule
I agree you have to remember that even though you don't want to "lose him for nothing," if you are still aiming to make a run for the cup this season, you have to offset the loss of Suter for the rest of the season/playoffs. They may end up deciding that even if he doesn't sign, they still want him for the remainder of the season. |
