to me he is a good #3. elite skater, can play on the pp and excellent in OT.
he could be a top pairing guy but only if he is matched with a stud à la Weber.
good contract, that is also important. and he's not 35 y/o either.
bref, very valuable, worth a lot more than an unhappy prospect unable to grab a chair in CLB.
you get a top prospect for him, and I mean top. otherwise you keep him, you even extend him.

We were talking about him being a rental, so I assumed that was the implication of why he would be valuable to a contender. Misunderstanding on my part
