It's true. This last year with CG, Hart I was like here we go again..jebus. - Hextall271
The only respite we ever got from the circus was in the Hextall years where the team became "boring" because there was no drama, no leaks and not much splash.
Until the alumni struck back haha. |

Looking forward to when the Habs are on the clock and they select Lindstrom over Demidov. Pure entertainment incoming. |

"G" has zero to do with anything florida related slapnuts. you seemed to imply he did.
best thing "G" ever did was go back home if not Florida would never be where they are last 2 years. so maybe in that sense he does have a lot to do with their last 2 years succes |

I would be ecstatic if the Flyers draft Richardinson and he is still worth talking about in 10 years.

Panthers are a complete team! What a joy to watch great hockey with a balanced deep team. Anyway, how cool would it be to actually have a coach like Paul Maurice. His pressers are can’t misses and he seems to have that great combination of accountability and respect and good-nature. So does John Cooper. When was the last time the Flyers had a coach like that, Roger Neilson? |

Bill,
I was wondering if you have any insight to what the Flyers thinking is in extending Konency and not looking to move him. - J35Bacher
Jonesy's goal is to sneak into the playoffs so he can puff out his chest about how ahead of schedule they are. They aren't even considering the idea of trading their best player. Locking him up from ages 28 to 36 will be seen as a great victory for the Flyers Culture.
Keith Jones: “We’re saying one thing to everyone as far as our messaging that we’re rebuilding, but we made sure to tell everyone on the team that’s BS.” |

So much for my theory, or hope, that Utah would be willing to trade their 6th pick. From Russ Cohen who was at the draft combine, Utah took the potential top 6 picks out to dinner, so it looks pretty much like they are taking a player at 6. Looks to me like the Flyers are happy to stand pat based on who they interviewed, and Yakemchuk seems to be high on their list. I hate it, but perhaps Flahr and his scouts have determined there isn't much difference between picking 6th and picking 12th in this draft. Oh well, I hope they are right. - jd250
It's comical how easily influenced you are and how you change like the wind depending on what you read. You also lack common sense. Even if they're open to trading the 6th overall pick. They're still going to do their due diligence and homework on the draft. There is no guarantee that they will get a deal they like to trade the pick. Then they will have to make a selection and need to know who they want to pick.

The part I left out was that Russ also said Utah had the most dinners with players out of all the NHL teams, so clearly they are doing due diligence. And it should be obvious that my opinoin might change as I receive more information. You can state your opinion without insulting me, you know that right?
Actually there was a good inteview with Brent Flahr posted in the Inquier this morning, and Flahr was asked about moving up or down in the draft, and he stated they have had conversations with teams about this. In the end Flahr said the decision to move up or down is typically done at draft time based on which players are selected. I was at least encouraged the Flyers seem to be looking at what options they have to move up. |
