I do think KD does have a type, didn't realize Ludwinski was rated 2nd by coaches poll in the OHL eastern conference as best skater.
Lardis tied 2nd as most dangerous in goal area, eastern conference - BetweenTheDots
Ludwinski is a great skater, I envision him as a bottom 6 guy, possibly a shutdown guy who has some offensive potential. If Lardis doesn’t get more involved in the play he will have a tough time making the jump to the AHL, let alone NHL. Hopefully another season in junior will see him bring great wheels and shot from the perimeter into tough traffic areas. |

So Lardis plays like Reichel right now? I hope he works on getting his nose dirty. |

Similar but he is a little more involved, mind you against boys.
Kingston is down 5-1 and are on the verge of elimination. The announcer just asked if we’ll see Ludwinski in a Blackhawk jersey next week. |

There are at least nine prospects at forward position who have enjoyed a positive development year BUT the differance makers we need is a pure goal scorer and at least one big imposing forward with an abrasive style.
It is too soon to move on Phillips and especially Crevier. Both need to show improvement next season if the coaches and KD have doubt whether Phillips has the intelligence to play a smart game, then he needs to dispel that evaluation. On the other hand, Crevier may prove valuable as a descent all purpose able dmen except he needs to use his size to be more snarly or tougher in physical confrontations
Really would like to see Phillips athleticism shine as well as Crevier using that reach and strong defensive game |

With KK, Vlasic, Kaiser, Allan, Rinzel, and Del Mastro, those two are probably not going to make it on the Hawks. Also, due to his contract, I don’t think that Jones is going anywhere for three or four years, that’s when his actual salary drops by >30%, however his AAV stays at $9.5M. I’d like to see them find a competent RD to play with Korchinski, even if it’s a short term one, it really hasn’t been very fair to the 19 year old to have to play with Megna and/or Tinordi as defensive partners.

I have speculated that Phillips has to beat someone out for a job; I don’t feel he is utilized best as a depth dman. While I would agree with your analysis that both are behind others for a spot on the roster, I imagine Crevier could become a depth dman. He is right handed, has the long stick reach and his forte may turn out to become a reliable valued defensive dman. At least I hope so |

Depends if LR decides to give KK any PK time next year. LR used Phillips snd Crevier in the PK when they were playing. LR keepsKK as far away from PK duties as possible.

Not sure I understand, however at this stage of his development, KK will not see any PK time in the near future. He still needs a dependable partner for 5 on 5 play. |

Not talking about KK specifically, but that if KK sees no PK time, Phillips and or Crevier might make it as the 6th or 7th defenseman because they can play on the PK as opposed to not making the team at all. |
