what do you mean by "real beer"? wit beer has been made like that since the middle ages. it's quite real.

wahh? why u talking about lambics? those are very rich fruit beers. there is a whole world of non-hoppy-pre-british-empire-putting too-much-hops-in-poop german and belgian beers, of which lambics might make up .2%.

me confused on where you're coming from, ma.

- Don'tForgetTocchet

Hm, guess that's what I saw posted a lot so I was making assumptions.

I'll give it a try

Last sampler I got was the ontario microbrew one with the King Pilsner, Cameron's cream ale, Stone Hammer Pale Ale, Flying Monkey's Hoptical Illusion and a couple other pale ales. I'd had the Hoptical illusion and Cream Ale before... Stone Hammer and King Pilsner were really good.

Still, none fill the void left by the loss of dogfish head.

- Schenn-Sational!

I've tried Hoptical Illusion (have a sixer in my fridge actually) and Stone Hammer IPA, but I don't think I've had the others. Do you know the exact name of the pack, assuming it's not discontinued? I want to see if any LCBO in the city has it by checking stock online.

I'm not a big Pilsner/Lager person so I would probably let someone else drink the King Pilsner if I found the pack lol. Some are really tasty like Prima Pils that the LCBO stupidly discontinued, but the average pilsner doesn't do it for me. With that said Prima Pils was so overly hopped that I wouldn't even call it a pilsner.

edit: Taster pack #9 is boring. I've already tried all of them in the past and a few are pretty bad lol. Wellington Silver, Elora Grand Lager, and Lake of Bays PA aren't worth a penny. #9 is definitely worth skipping. I guess I missed out on yours since it was #8. Hopefully #10 is good.. I just wish I got your pack.

the ones i'm stoked about are the ones from the old recipes, i already know i love the fraoch but looking forward to trying the others like alba... they are made with other ingredients instead of hops so you might hate them...but you might not who knows

I'm a pretty equal opportunity beer lover, really. I just prefer some to others for different purposes.

The Fraoch and Alba are the best ones in the taster pack. I need to pick up a couple more taster packs this weekend probably since the stock is getting really dry. Who knows if they'll ever sell them here again once they are gone. Stupid LCBO.

I wish I could get my hands on Kelpie. Seaweed in beer? Weird but interesting.

well, any light beer should have good drinkability, as it's basically water.
