the freshies pops louder if you can pick up what i'm putting down.

both beers are hoppy but the freshies hops are just harder-hitting hops.

also, after drinking another beer you realize just how grapefruity freshies is. even though i tasted grapefruit in the last one, this one is like sitting in a diner with your western omelette doused in black pepper and ordering an ice cold glass of delicious dole grapefruit juice.

the flying fish beer is a solid ipa and better than a lot of other ipas. but the tonewood freshies beats it in every conceivable category.

actually i was about to say the one area where the flying fish might beat out the tonewood is lacing of all things. which apparently is the amount of bubbles left on the glass. who the (frank) cares about that kind of thing?!?

but then i looked at the glass and the tonewood does the same exact thing. i just never noticed it before because i'm not (frank)ing retarded.

you guys are so so so important to me (so important) that i currently have one of each poured side by side to really dig deep and get to the bottom of this comparison. you know, make sure i'm not passing off any half-assed information.

but, i feel like i pretty much hit it on the head in that last post so i'm guess i'm just getting drunk now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

up & out hazy ipa

pretty good string of luck the last couple months here. i'd never heard of this. i only bought it because i was in a liquor store where literally every other ipa was already beyond it's freshness date. it took me over 10 minutes to find a beer i could buy.

anyway, everything worked out cause this poop was schennsational. piney and juicy and delicious.

another 8.0 s2tp beer from outta nowhere.

EDIT: this beer scores 8.4 yuge s2tp's after some rational, sober thought.

It’s a formula used to determine the rating of a beer.

Take the IBU of the beer and divide by the alcohol %. subtract the beer style standard (IPA=3, Stout=5, Lager=9, etc). That value is the S2 portion of the equation. Add the total number of letters in the name of the beer and then divide by 3.14

That spits out the S2TP valuation
