i trust that one and the cape may brewery. oh and kane.

but there's a jersey beer made in woodbury and that one shall never pass between these lips. (frank)ing hoodbury. you know they're using piss in the recipe. or even worse, water from the delaware river.

i think the dale's really is an excellent summertime beer. it's got enough body to it that you can enjoy it but it's light enough to be refreshing in warm weather. i'm always shocked how dark it is in the glass because it's so easy going down that you figure it must be almost straw colored.

anyway, it's got a real nice taste to it and it's refreshing. so shove a can of this up the ass of the next person who tells you they have to drink coors light at BBQs because "light beer is all you can drink in the sun. wah."

the founders all day ipa smacks you in the face harder. drinking these two back-to-back is a perfect way of explaining the differences between a pale ale and an india pale ale. they're so much more hopped up than a pale ale and that's probably why i like them better. i like a little sting in my bitterness.

but they're both really good for a humid, 90 degree 7/28/18 and i will continue to drink them long into the night.

my admittedly n00bular opinion would be to use the pale ale for pussies who are telling you they don't like the heaviness of "all that beer you drink" and use the all day ipa for when you're being kind of a pussy yourself and want your ipa but aren't in the mood for a super full bodied, spicy one (like if you're going to a summertime BBQ).

okay, i once had this hard time with the vaunted ballast point grapefruit sculpin. i'm sure i reported my displeasure here and i'm sure i wondered aloud if i'd gotten my hands on the mythical "bad batch"

well yesterday i got an opportunity to try it on tap and i am happy to report that not only did i have some bad batch beer last time, but this beer is actually awesome. it's as good as you read and this is coming from a known not a fruit beer guy™.

the fruit doesn't add some sugary sweetness like, say, the new belgium tangerine beer, which is downright syrupy. it just adds the taste and bitterness of grapefruit. i thought more about the peel than the fruit itself while i was drinking this.

so yeah, this is a really good beer. super refreshing. unless i'm just missing something obvious, this is probably the best fruit beer i've ever tasted.
