yards thomas jefferson's tavern ale.

it's a little too boozy for me. it's an 8% beer but apparently not one that masks it in any way.

i love their beers but this one doesn't really do anything for me. there's not enough going on with it to make it desirable to me. in fact, there's a touch of something i don't like but i can't put my finger on what it is.

i'm not saying it's a bad beer, it's just not my type of thing. i'll drink em. you can balee dat.

i've had it super stale before. it has let me down.

they have the cans here now though and they're priced way better than the 6 packs of bottles so it'll probably always be fresh now.

dont really understand seasonal beers much unless the brewery simply doesnt have capacity to make it all the time. that's usually what happens with these microbreweries i guess.

i think they just consider it fancy shmancy to have seasonal beers. also this style probably isn't gonna sell well in july and august.

but i'd buy it. i am their target market.

hoppy beers in general are way too delicate sometimes. i usually just get something made in canada if that's the route im going since they're usually guaranteed fresh

had to dump a beer today. i don't take these things lightly. this is a serious offense. i try not to do it.

not really even sure what i was thinking but i tried an empire brewing white aphro, which is a lavender, ginger, and lemon peel beer.

i actually didn't know about the ginger part or i wouldn't have tried it at all.

anyway, it was not only not for me, but it was not for anyone in the room. i let 3 other people try it and nobody liked it. so in the sink it went.

after some rumination the room came to the consensus that this was potpourri we were tasting.

potpourri.

usually not my thing but this was good.

orange and pineapple but still a beer. not like some of these fruity ass beers where it tastes like it's just some kind of syrup added.
