i also had another samuel smith's organic chocolate stout which is the most chocolate flavor i've ever experienced in a beer.

it tastes just like a hersheys chocolate bar.

just get to a liquor store and start trying stuff.

the beer and the bourbon have turned out to be real nice hobbies and i actually get excited when i'm bringing home something new to try.

it's fun.

Worse (better?) than the Young's Double Chocolate Stout?

That beer tastes like Quik. But the poopty syrup one.

i guess the answer depends on what you're looking for at the moment.

i like them both but neither really tastes like beer. especially the samuel smith - it tastes like a milkshake.

i'd say the young's is better because i've bought it to have in my fridge. it's a little more of an actual beer. i've never even searched a store for the samuel smith and i'm not sure i'd ever buy it if i saw it. i drink it if someone offers one to me but it's definitely a novelty item in my eyes.

so the firestone walker easy jack ipa.

this is the second firestone beer i've had and i like them both.

this one is a real light smooth ipa. hops and all but only 4.5% so it is very smooth.

- kicksave856

just wanted to stop by to reiterate how good this is.

i'm drinking the last one now and i'll miss it. for a lightweight ipa it's really really good. think sierra nevada nooner but with more punch in the flavor department.

turntable pilsner. it good.

not sure what's going on here. apparently this came in some type of winter variety pack but i've never seen it in a six pack. chocolate stout made by my boys. also very good.

i was worried but this was actually more than just drinkable. very fruity. almost juicy.

look, i don't know who they are but they've done alright by me since i met these sixpoint people.

this sweet action is actually delicious and i never heard of it until like last weekend when i saw it in a store. it's refreshing like fruit or something. it's actually thirst quenching.

the skinny cans still weird me out but i like what's happening and i will try their bengali ipa next.

another thing i'm excited about is that i picked up a "mixed 12 pack" from those firestone walker people. i've had the easy jack but it also has 3 other beers and i haven't had any of those.

the first one i tried is this.

it is also really good so this makes 3 winners in a row from them.

i didn't really look into what goes into "double barreling" beer (guessing two barrels are involved though!) so i don't know what it was supposed to taste like but it was real carbonated but not a light-tasting beer. it was also darker than i thought it would be. amber-ish i guess. i'd use the word flavorful if i was sure it was a word. just a real good beer taste. it tastes like you want a beer to taste.

OKAY LISTEN, THIS IS IMPORTANT. WE GOT A DNF HERE.

harpoon goes back 8 or 10 years or something as a beer your hipster coworkers talked about as a "great craft beer". i don't know what the deal really is because i haven't had many of their beers but we got us a good old fashioned did not finish here with this one.

i thought "cranberry seems holiday-ish and i am at a christmas party so let's try it"

one of the biggest mistakes of my life, guys.

it tasted like an extremely expired wine cooler mixed 50/50 with a beer.

now in the same night i tried this, which i guess is their regular old ipa, and it was perfectly acceptable.

not extraordinary, but def a fine beer.

california pale ale. also real good. probably the least exciting of them so far but good.

again, pretty light and easy to drink. the hop taste is not as citrusy as the others except for some grapefruit taste which i don't think you can avoid with this type of beer anyway. whether that's good or bad is up to the drinker or what they're in the mood for i guess. it didn't bother me or anything, just something i noticed.

and of course the can is still stunning. look at that beaut. did i ever mention that on the sides, where you can't really see in the pictures, there are a lion and a bear fist fighting? well there are.

Rogue Yellow Snow IPA

Smells and looks like pee. Strong pine and malt taste upfront then mellows out. A pretty average to slightly above average IPA

it's good, i'm not gonna lie. but it's one of those beers where i feel like the alcohol overpowers the flavor. it might just be me but i feel like i could experience the intended taste a lot more if the abv was a little lower.

If it looks like piss, the taste has to be amazing to make up for it. I feel like you're being too generous with this rating.
