anyway im drinking it now, its pretty good

Probably, I have a New Belgium beer boner and miss it since moving east.

I'm on my way back from Jamaica right meow, so it's been red stripe and Kingston Heineken for the past week.

The three minutes to midnight beer is an imperial stout you might like

*insert PR speak here*

In second-use cognac barrels (previously housing Bring Out Your Dead), this rich and complex imperial stout gains a complexity that can only come with age, aided by the addition of cherries, raspberries, and cocoa nibs.

that's also how i feel to be honest.

on one hand their beer is generally pretty good, but then they charge like 50% more than better breweries like dieu du ciel do for similar products. also the patio is always full of what i can only assume are lumberjacks due to the size of their beards, their toques (regardless of season), and the colour of their plaid shirts.

so it's a mixed bag really.

aren't coffee stouts kind of redundant? i've had plenty that tasted enough like coffee without even having any in it.

though peche mortel is super delicious and it's a coffee stout so i haven't made my mind up on this yet.

i think it's maybe just for real big coffee fans. i like a stout no matter what. it's probably my favorite style of beer. but some are like chocolate and some are like coffee and some are like both.

there are enough on the market that it can't be that bad of an idea.

that said, i'm a coffee guy so i love trying them. a guy like me is probably their target market.
