So, went to my local alcohol provider, he usually gets me some sweet deals and imports things I need...sadly the embargo is hitting him and me hard. So I'm looking in his beer fridge and I noticed this big burly 8 pack of beer (661ml bottles) hiding behind everything else in a near busted up box, Bavaria 8.6. Never had it before, described as a "Strong Blonde Lager."

Acceptably mediocre. Smooth and gets you drunk, fine as a party beer in my opinion, but not much else.

i didn't have many choices. it was in the concourse. we literally walked all the way around 3 full times hoping to find a better beer cart because i know there used to be one that had yards and some other stuff but we couldn't find anything else.

it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great.

both are delicious. i do think the stout is a bit better.

the stout is a little more chocolatey tasting, a little more sweet, and a little bit creamier. the porter is a little more coffee tasting and a little more carbonated or something that makes it seem crisper.

either way i'd score them both pretty high. like an A+ for the stout and an A for the porter.

they make pretty damn good beers. i like their pale ale and their torpedo thing. they had a coffee stout that they made one time and i would love to see them make it again so i could try it.

i am however horrified by their christmas beer which they call celebration. but that's pretty normal for me. i hate most christmas beers.
