Every time I order a glass of Peche I wonder why I bother drinking anything else.

Dieu du Ciel Grande Noirceur
Dieu du Ciel Peche Mortel
Founders Breakfast Stout

those are probably my fav stouts but maybe i'm missing something. they're all imperials, is that cheating?

Imperials are good. Don't think they have Dieu du Ciel in my area

The St.Ambroise Oatmeal stout is probably my favourite "regular" stout. Their Russian Imperial Stout is also something.

I had their RIS on tap last year I think it was.

It actually probably wasn't better than in bottles but it's just such a rare thing to see.

Out of regular stouts I'd have to go with DDC Aphrodisiaque & Ambroise Oatmeal as my top 2.

They release it every year for their anniversary. This winter it was a 4-pack containing 2x bourbon Péché Mortel and 2x Rhum Aphrodisiaque. I'll post it in here next time they announce it so you can ask your friend from Gatineau to get you a pack.

Bought some at a supermarket which sold it as the regular one.

They have released their stout in 500ml cans. Unfortunately they weren't able to use nitrogen widgets.

The Alba was maderized as hell and didn't taste pine at all anymore. Don't do that often, but drainpoured it. Was probably an omen for the referendum.

You can barely tell it's made with pine normally anyway imo. Very subtle. Funny how you get way more of a pine aroma and flavour from IPAs than you do from a beer that's actually made with pine.

Awesome. Is it better than the regular versions or just "different"?

The PM was really better IMO. Not so much for the Aphrodisiaque. The pairing between the rum and the sweetness of the beer's cocoa/vanilla wasn't really harmonious.

So I got a variety pack of deschutes. Tried their obsidian stout. Strong coffee smell. Has a fizzy feel. Strong coffee taste and very dark malt taste. Not too bad, I'd buy again.

zwanze day so yes, it was a cantillon miracle lol

You mean the LTM Gose? I didn't bother with it since I've already had it in bottles. It's an alright gose but I kind of expect more from that brewery.
