Sure. I'm starting a list of beers I want to taste/bring back from Belgium/Prague.

Ok right now I only have "anything they have at Cantillon, westvleteren 12 (well, any westy that I come across will do the job) and Chimay Dorée, but I still have 6 weeks

we have a brewery here in jersey called flying fish and everybody in the area raves about it and all the restaurants like to offer it.

but man, it is some the worst beer i've ever tasted in my life. it tastes dirty. i tell people it's made with water from the delaware river (which is so dirty i had to dive in it once and everything in my wallet ended up brown including my social security card).

and if you are going to belgium you have to have to have to go to bruges.

eat at the restaurant across the street from strasse hendriks brewery and drink their beers by moonlight while the swans settle in for the night on the canal.

I dont understand how swill like that ever becomes popular enough to keep the brewery afloat for more than a year.

It's already settled. It's the last thing we do on this trip, so I can load up on bottles without having to carry them to Munich and Prague.

We're doing Brussels, Bruges and Liege. I had already planned going to De Halve Maan, but thanks we'll look out for this restaurant.

The bet the cost of living otherwise is through the roof in most areas there though.

Still, good beer at cheap prices. Yay!

There's literally no use for it in there.

It's a pain in the ass to replace.

It makes your wallet thicker.

It soaks up muddy river water.

Leave that ish in a drawer (assuming you don't have a safe or deposit box).

i think i started carrying it when i was a wee tot and couldn't remember my SS# when applying for jobs and stuff. and then for some reason i just kept it in there.

every time i see it in there i know it shouldn't be there and i'm like "this is gonna be trouble one day."

i procrastinate though. sometimes for like 25 or 30 years at a time.

I don't carry mine (assuming it's the same thing as our SIN cards) because of potential identity theft BS. I don't want anyone getting my card.

they took my cash and ditched my wallet in some bushes in front of a church

a year later a nice priest man found it and gave me my wallet back, ss card was still in there but i think it had soaked up some of that river water nick was talking about

I once bought an IPA that tasted like a sour ale. A really bad sour, but still a sour. No clue how it was supposed to be an IPA.

The brewery is called Trafalgar. Reviews for their beers are hilarious.

awful brewery... tried a few of their offerings. All bad... we're not talking "not good"... we're talking "makes molson look like the finest trappist ales". Only reason they'd ever get a penny of my money is if they're included in one of those ontario sampler packs with beers I actually want to try.

The funny thing is they are so damn expensive too. They're probably the worst brewery in Canada.

okay, i know i keep saying how disappointed i am in their beers, but people keep bringing them to places i am and asking me to try them. i am not the type to turn down such a challenge.

this one is the dry irish stout. which is nothing like a regular stout apparently. it is more watery. it was drinkable. there wasn't a ton of taste but at least it wasn't bad.
