Awesome, it's an addiction once you get into it

One trick that took me a year to bother doing but wish I would have started doing sooner, if your carboy (or bucket or whatever you're fermenting in) will fit in the fridge, pop her in there a day or two before bottling and it'll "cold crash" and knock a bunch of the proteins and yeast out of suspension to the bottom and you'll wind up with a crystal clear brew. Obviously don't worry about it with Hefe's or certain Belgians but for everything else, I'll do it.

Most of my favorite ipas are cloudy. Its fairly common for the style.

Kind of looks like Headstock IPA (which is way better than reviews suggest)

They have consistency issues with all their bottled products.

Weird thing is I haven't had a bad bottle of that beer yet. All the bad ones were in tap. Its like 50/50 if it'll be any good on tap I've found.

Unrelated:

We have this in cans over here now so I bought some for the first time in a while. It's even better than I remember. Very floral/hoppy without being too bitter to go with the sweet malt. It's one of the best lagers I've had.

For sure, anything dry hopped and unfiltered will still be a bit hazy even with cold crashing. Just drops a bunch of junk out without losing the aromas or flavour, find it helps clean up the flavours a bit too in anything where yeasty bits aren't really intended to be a feature.

I like most of Brooklyn's beers. Their Black Chocolate Stout is one of my fav stouts.

The only bad one I've had is their Post Road Pumpkin beer. They were at least smart enough to try to hide that they made it by calling it "Post Road" though lol. It smelled like garbage and tasted like a bad lager. Maybe I just got a bad bottle.

I really like that one. I'm guessing it must have been a bad one if you like other chocolate stouts since it's similar to most of the other good ones.

i still have one in my fridge if you want it.

i do think i might have had it on tap once and liked it (at a wine bar, no less) and that's why i bought the 6 pack but then it turned out nasty from the bottle.

They make three imperial beers I have liked a lot. Pumking, Warlock and Krampus. Their Phin and Matts is a nice every day beer.
