Tasty, almost a cherry coke like vibe with some light chocolate.

I like cherry notes in stouts/porters. Unless it's actually added it's usually subtle though.

With that said I've never had that beer above so it might be bad lol. I don't know.

Definitely not for everyone. I enjoyed it, but I like cherry notes in big dark beers.

Guys, is there anything wrong with a (frank)ing simple Coors Light?
- Mike Komisarek

After a hard days work or sitting around a camp fire Coors Molson bud and the rest are completely appropriate. A working mans beer nothing wrong with that

Craft brews also have a right time

Alright chocolate covered cherries then. It's the acidity that reminded me more of cola along with the big malty sweetness. It's not overpowering by any means, but its there.

Fairly decent beer but really overpriced and nowhere near as good as Schneider Hopfenweisse. It needs to be sweeter to balance out the bitterness. This is closer to Shawinigan Handshake or Les Trois Mousquetaires Hopfenweisse.

I just want another hopfenweisse to actually taste closer to the original hopfenweisse. These clones are all way too dry for the style IMO.

Starting to plan a trip to Belgium and Germany (during the Oktoberfest).

Writing down some places to visit. Supposed to be a 2-week trip. Will have to make hard choices

Any tip is welcome. Will rent an appartment in Brussels for 5-6 days. Currently have Chimay, Duvel, Cantillon and Cafe Delirium as non-negociable. Also thinking about Lindemans, Bocq, Dupont...

If you like that you should try Schneider Aventinus. It's best at 5+ months so the older the bottle the better imo.

cantillon is awesome go there
i would recommend you avoid octoberfest as i've heard it's just a giant poopshow... go to those countries in some other peaceful time to enjoy the beer and the scenery. do not neglect southern germany and be sure to go to bruges.

I've never had an issue with it. It always looks like sewage water but yeah lol.

All our batches have been good, though like I mentioned it's a bit tame fresh and does better with a bit of aging.
