I don't mind fruit beers at all. It took some getting used to but I grew to really like Shipyard Smashed Blueberry (tastes kind of like a blueberry porter or something) and a recent blood orange Belgian style ale I had was really good too.

As long as they doesn't taste really artificial I'm fine with them.

The Lindemans we got last year

- daeth[edit: 2 years ago] was ok actually. Maybe that was the one I recall posting about. I hope so lol.

lindemans is really good too.

I haven't had mort subite in a while. Maybe they changed their recipe, or maybe you had a bad batch?

I actually like Belgium... and a couple of their beers(Affligem blonde, Rochefort 8, and some kreiks)

But nothing Belgium can produce makes up for the horror that is a Belgian wit.

I know it's the Chipotle of Belgian Beer, but I like Delerium Tremens a lot, both the Rochefort 8 and 10 were also yummy.

Me, I've been drinking bitter lately - Fuller's, Boddington's.

The list of Belgian beers I like is way too long to list.

For a shade over $3 a bottle this is great value. Quite a bit better than their red and white cap beers for my taste.

F'serious. My wife doesn't drink, my two best friends now either (for different reasons). All I got to go have fun beer time with is my dad - who's great, really, but... well.

We get the small bottles of the blue (and white) here, that's why. We have the 26oz bottles of red for $6.20.

I haven't had a Boddingtons in years. I used to drink it all the time when I was ~19.

Bought some of these yesterday. Hopefully it's decent. Fullers rarely fails me.

years ago i tried a gift pack with 3 of these in it (i remember a red label and a blue label but i don't remember the third).

i don't know if there was something wrong with them or what but all 3 were terrible. i haven't had the balls to try them again because they were so so bad.

everyone always talks about them but i just sit quietly wondering.

Have you enjoyed other dark Belgian ales? You just might not like the style, in which case I'd like a link to the "people who are dead to you" thread.

I no. One bestie develops some kind of yeast allergy and another figures he had gone too far (while I was in Cali) and needs to rein it in. Either way, they'd just be sitting on the other side of the bar sipping tonic water or some poop.

I mean, I respect his decision and I'm happy for him he's made a clear choice - but it greatly reduces the "hey let's hang out" things on our list.
