Went local this weekend:

Also the local Earl's in Saskatoon now has a craft brewery and the local Uni Pub had their Grapefruit Hefe on tap ... wasn't awful.

Grasshopper is solid ... their whole line up is decent. Warthog is a go to for me if a pub doesn't have anything better.

Real tasty for a Pilsner. Lots of sweet and bitter going on.

Sorry- my mistake. Trad is ok. Warthog was the one that I didn't like.

Those are the only 3 I've had from their lineup. The sampler is pretty pricey over here.

I haven't had a beer from Big Rock that I've liked. I won't even try anything from them anymore. They're up there with Trafalgar.

Grasshopper is good.

Nothing from trafalgar is good. Seriously. I don't know how they're in business.

Side note: Muskoka's "Twice as Mad Tom" IPA is pretty good. Gets too bitter by the end of a bottle, but until it overpowers you, it's good.

King Vienna Lager is nice as well.

Their wheat beer is one of the worst I've ever had in my life. I haven't tried the Shock Top beers so I am sure those are worse but it's hard imagining such a thing.

And don't even get me started on their Warthog. People buy that poop, seriously?

You could tell me they were new Molson beers and I wouldn't suspect you were lying. They're that bad.

edit: oh, and they make a light lime lager. 'nuff said.

I think Warthog is easily worse than stuff I've had from Molson.

Molson's problem is it just doesn't have a lot of flavour, IMO.

Warthog has flavour... it;s just... bad.

But I like the grasshopper... bought it a few times and enjoyed it every time.

Out here in the Prairies it's as close to craft beer as you can get in a lot of places. Seriously, in most bars/pubs your options are Coors, Keiths, Rickards or Big Rock ... so you grow to tolerate it It's down right exotic to most

Any of you Michigan guys had Kuhnhenn's Creme Brule Java Stout? My favorite, but pricey at $28 for a growler.

I've never had it (I'm not from Michigan) but I picked up some of their 4D recently. $8 a bottle. Pricey.

I haven't tried it yet but it's supposedly really good though.

Trafalgar is awful. Refuse to try anything by them ever again.
