What makes this so good is the vodka itself - they actually distill it from grapes at Hangar 1 (this distillery was about 10 miles from my place in Oakland). It's a lot milder on its own than your Stolis or even Grey Goose. Runs under 30 a bottle, and even if it's not to your taste on its own makes really good bloody mary's.

Again though, I really like it on ice alone.

i couldn't resist so i opened the scotch. i am enjoying it greatly.

whoever suggested it was right about it being smoother with less overpowering smokiness.

i consider this a success and something i will buy again.

didn't think there'd be any left from the founders event yesterday at my pub... but the frangelic mountain and the backwoods bastard are still rocking somehow. best american beer ever. the backwoods smells like straight whiskey and drinks so smooth can't believe it's a 10.2%.
