I haven't seen it here since before I was legal drinking age ('03). They had it the summer before I turned 19 if I remember correctly.

It was delicious is what I'd say had I drank it when I was underage, but of course I would never do anything like that.

I'd have to try it now to properly judge it. I'm pretty huge on Belgian style ales in general though so I'm sure I'd still think it was good.

This reminds me of all the Canadians who still go on about how poopty your beer is compared to ours though. These are the same people that drink Molson Canadian. (frank)ing people lol.

I can still put a case of OV away and love every second if it. Nothin wrong with a decent straightforward beer from time to time. In fact I'm gonna do this tomorrow. Shoot out the lights at 6:30, puck drop at 7:00. Fukin pumped.

I don't drink macro lager at all unless it'd be rude for me not to (ie someone offers me one at their house). I just don't enjoy them. I want something that tastes good when I drink a beer. For a refreshment I drink water instead.

Had this fella on tap at the local estab tonight. Japanese DIPA, really good. Nothing that really distinguished it from a West Coast IPA. Well balanced which is good, I expected it to lean towards too much hop.

Are they starting to get into craft beer like they have with Scotch? I hope so. I don't think I've ever had a Japanese beer. Never even thought of it.

They make some decent lagers - Sapporo and Kirin are not bad, never had anything else.

hitachino is good and has been around a while, i especially like the white but it can be pricey

Its products combine European beer-making technology with traditional Japanese brewing techniques; for example, its XH Hitachino Nest Beer is matured in shochu casks.

crims would just sit and look at the bottle and reach a few times before getting his hand within 2 feet and pulling it back.

Those are the only other two I've had as well. I'd definitely try more from Baird, nothing particularly unique about that DIPA but it was done really well.

i liked it

- shvingter88

I had a bottle of this before I went out last night and liked it a lot.

Then I went to the bar and they had it on tap, it tasted so much more different. I wasn't a fan of it on tap.

Cool. I wonder if we'll ever get anything like that over here. I am pretty sure we haven't got any of those here in the past.

i probably never even reported this to you guys out of shame, but i had a really really bad beer at that mexican frootfest party that i went to last week or whenever it was.

just grabbed it from a beer fridge without looking. big mistake. i had to have someone else finish it for me. just a terrible terrible watery beer.
