C'est what always has the most exclusive random beers possible lol. So many one-offs. It's great and disappointing at the same time. Since tonight was my beer night I don't think I'll head out tomorrow to check it out though unfortunately. Had I known earlier I likely would've got some people together to check it out tonight.

The Only is doing 5oz samples for $1 with their beer festival in Nov btw. Scary prices.

http://www.theonlycafe.com/theonly/fest.html

I plan to be there on Tuesday for their GLB beer week day. Probably will make it to the festival in November too but who knows what'll come up. Might not work out for me.

Don't even bother with this. This was my first disappointing Brooklyn beer I've had. Truly not worth even trying. My last bit was warm and it smelled like garbage, no lie. Very lagery thin attempt at a pumpkin ale imo.

Can't say enough good things about this one. Not sure how wide spread Paddockwoods distribution is beyond the prairies but if you see one, I highly recommend picking it up. Super rich, a little sweet, almost wine like.

Also the Mrs finally tracked down her fav ... Hipster Pilsner by Bad Attitude. Even if you're anti Lager / Pil I suggest giving it a try ... really good with lots going on for a Pil.

This is a permanent beer at the LCBO now apparently. It's pretty close to my favourite beer. Top 10 anyway.

Now if only they could get Hibernus here permanently. That beer is like liquid gingerbread. So delicious. I already miss my Quebec vacation lol. You can't get that here at all.

so bad

I'm glad my friend let me try it so I didn't waste money on it. I would've gone into it thinking it'd be amazing since it was brewed by Brooklyn. They've never failed me before. This though.. ugh. They should've just aborted this recipe lol.

(frank) yeah, we're getting bombers of that for under $7 here soon. Can't wait.

So far this year I've tried:

ST Pumking
Grand River Highballer Pumpkin
Great Lakes Pumpkin Ale
Post Road Pumpkin Ale
Black Creek Pumpkin Ale

soon... St Ambroise Pumking Ale

Pumpkin beers are growing on me.

The last one I'll be able to get my mitts on this year is probably the Howe Sound pumpkin beer. We have a poop selection here and I am not leaving the province any time soon so I can't get any from elsewhere either.
