thanks for the encouragement.

Pikey however is staring daggers at your avatar for dropping the G word.

CGI is fine, it was the acting/writing/directing that ruined the prequels.

And Jar Jar Binks.

- nfph

This ... the dialogue in those movies was among the worst I've ever heard.

hate it.

really dig Star Wars, though. the original trilogy only.

Did you watch the most recent Star Trek movie? I'm not a Star Trek guy either but I thought the last one they did was fantastic.

You should watch DS9, it's the best Star Trek has to offer.

1. it's Star Trek
2. the trailers looked like 90% CGI, 10% live action
3. see above

i haven't even seen the Transformers films because they look just completely ridiculous. and that's coming from a guy who loved that show as a kid.

It's lost nearly all of its hop freshness by now. Bottle was from January (~5 months). In my opinion it was better fresh but now it tastes like a really good Belgian IPA which is still nice. It's actually getting fairly sweet at this point and the powerful citrus hops have mellowed a lot. It has more of a top end Abbey ale quality to it now. The smell even has the nice funky/barnyard thing going on that you get with things like St Bernardus and such. That was mostly covered up by the hops when it was fresher.

Less unique but still great. Give it a year and I am sure the hops would completely give way to the malt. I still have a couple more bottles so I'll try 'em as time goes on. It's best fresh but it's interesting to see what this beer is like when the hops mellow.

I decided to try navigator.

My advice to anybody who considers this beer: Don't.

Next up on my California Beer Bucket list was a return to Lagunitas New Dogtown Pale Ale. Nice and crisp, citrusy (tangerine more than grapefruit) but definitely less assertive than their IPA. Got 4 more to go.

Saw it on an episode of Top Gear UK a few years and was curious. Didn't even know we had it here. Thanks.

If you mixed mountain dew with curacao, and added two tablespoons of sugar, you still wouldn't get a drink as sweet as this. I don't even think it's a beer at this point. I don't know what it is. I gave it to the sink, and it got clogged. Poured it down the toilet and it got backed up. Nothing wants to drink this.

My favorite beer spot in SF serves in quart mason jars.

Nice beer garden out back too. Met the guy who wrote Walking Dead there one night.

Ohh nice. Almost Molson Canadian type quality. They might even sell it at Costco.

It's on-par with Molson 6.0.

And still better than Molson M.

I can honestly say, I'd rather have M than this. Any day. I'd even pay for Molson M, rather than just leave a bottle of Canadian open overnight.

I only drink crap like that if I'm visiting my dad. He only drinks lager like that and I don't want to be rude.

I used to like the stuff when I was still underage. Back when I thought it was good because it wasn't as bad as Canadian or Labatt Blue.. lol.

I admit to drinking cheap-ass lager... I go up to the cottage with friends, and I'm a student... it's pretty much a requirement that I go cheap. I barely ever drink Molson stuff, mainly because it's a (frank)ing rip-off.

I usually get JR5.5, but after seeing that upper canada is the same price for a 24, I'm probably gonna switch on over to that.
