Unreal Imperial IPA I got to taste at the Mondial de la Bière. Floral, citrus biterness, but so sweet it could almost be a barley wine.

Nope, haven't been there yet. It'd be interesting to see how they compare to The Only Cafe I guess but it'd have a tough time topping it I think.

24 on tap (all canadian microbrews), 1 on cask. Hundreds of different bottle varieties from all over the world.

Only problem with it is it's full of hipsters. You can spot them by the fact that they drink Labatt 50. Who the (frank) drinks 50 at a place like that? I think it's the only bad beer they carry lol

- daeth

what, no pabst?

You won't get away from the hipsters here, because you're in the middle of parkdale, but the prices are low, it's got a big patio, and in theory, they've got a ton of beers, over 300.

I say in theory, because you'll here "oh, we're out of that" a lot during your time there

Blanche De Chambly is back on tap now apparently. It's just as good in bottles as on tap imo. It's one of their weaker beers.

I was probably exaggerating when I said they have all their bottled beers. For sure they're missing some. They have quite a few though.

have you tried the spring oddity?

I love muskoka's stuff, but it seems like a beer I'd hate.

I don't think they sell Pabst there. I think Labatt 50 is the only macro they sell.

If you wanna get drunk, for cheap, yup. Tastes better than Canadian and Coors, and $10 cheaper.

Had a Belgo IPA from New Beligum, a brewery with impeccable credentials so far as I'm concerned.

It was bad.

Really, really bad.

Like take 2 sips and pour out the rest of the 6-er bad.

I've had wits I've liked... This, just trying to layer an IPA hopping on that was a disaster.

Moving on to my growler of Heffe instead.

If you're going to have a well hopped wheat beer you have to do it like Schneider did with Hopfen Weisse.

okay, so here's what i did. i realized that the poet must be mine so i went out and got a case (for a kind of pricey $42). i also picked up these single bottles to try: stouts fat dog imperial oatmeal stout, left hand milk stout, and a sierra nevada porter and a stout.

i will report back later.
