So keep in mind I am tone deaf, so everything I say about music should be taken with a grain of salt:

Driving up north today for Christmas dinner with my in-laws.

My daughters take over the radio, and play a few boygenius songs.

I remark that they really sound like the Pretenders.

My wife agrees.

My kids scoff at us with a healthy youthful defiance.

We spend the next hour giving them a rock’n’roll edumacation.

Years from now, this will be the 2023 holiday story I tell.

Haven’t had pain since Friday, but can still feel it.

Doc thinks it might be residual pain, and I already passed it. Maybe.

We will reevaluate Wednesday.

Today is our official Christmas because my nephew is coming over here (we're at my parents house). He's turning 7 and is a spoiled little kid who will get all of the presents from his favourite uncle. Before you say it, he has 14 uncles.

You may have already passed it and are feeling the damage it leaves behind as it tears it's way through your plumbing. Or, it might be lurking waiting to strike again. Hopefully it's gone and never to return. Good luck at the Doc's office.

I’m my sister’s kid’s only uncle and I’m still not their favourite lol

All joking aside have a great one with your family, I still got another thing at mom’s this upcoming Saturday and another at her sister’s, my aunt, on the 6th.

I’m still taking all our decorations down today since my gf has been working for the last 4 days, and today is her last one, so today is our Boxing Day lol. We just deliberately had a quiet one at home and plan on making new years our private eve, hitting up the keg, watching city fireworks, and having a few drinks at home.
