Yes, in today's world. Not worthy of getting fired in my opinion. It's the politics of it.

Again, just asking to see pictures is not fire-able in my opinion. If he threatened players or implied that there would be ramifications if they didn't. Then that would change things. I don't know that to be the case. Some players were good with it. Some were not.

Can you say that is all that happened? please provide the evidence. Obviously you can't and that is not the whole story, otherwise why is he not coaching?

it is spin.

you have no facts to back up your position. keep trying. what i said was clear, just more spin/deflecting by you.

More babble. The facts that have been reported that I'm aware of are what I have based my position on.

Like every other hill he has died on. And yet, when someone else is wrong he never let's them forget. Strange brew indeed!

still waiting for you to provide ONE instance where a local news coverage lead off with the Flyers hiring Torts over Philly being named as one of the World Cup Host Cities

Other people could have been treated differently or could have had nothing to hide. Honestly hilarious, he’s “fired” but somehow you’re right 😂

We're not talking about other people. I have not said that I'm right. I have only offered my opinion. Someone getting fired does not automatically determine what it right or wrong.

More babble and you're again, showing that you have a reading comprehension issue. Clearly I stated that if there is more to it that I'm not aware of, then that could change things. Same round and round as earlier today. You making assumptions about his intentions and then telling me that I don't know everything that happened. Just a difficult concept for you to follow and refusal to apply the same standard to yourself. I'll await the next juvenile response.

I believe in due process. His past history and reputation does not automatically mean that the complete facts should be ignored. Based on what I know, I don't think this rose to the level of a fire-able offense. That's my opinion. You're making a fool of yourself with your claims that I don't understand it. I understand how the world works. There are a number of players who also found it to be a non-issue and they were involved. Did they also fail to understand any of this?
- MJL

He wasn’t fired. He resigned. I agree that, from what has been reported so far, the situation doesn’t seem like a big deal. However, the fact that Babcock chose to resign makes me think that this was a lot uglier than just a misunderstood attempt to get closer to his players.

i'll ask again. why is he not coaching?

my assumptions seem to be correct. your denial is astounding.

as you're projecting i highlighted your juvenile responses.

Do you think if he didn't resign, he would've been fired? I see it as basically forced.

Probably. I see it as Babcock making a deal to go away quietly in exchange for CBJ not discussing the details of what happened.

No doubt that his resigning kept it from going further.

My first reaction was that this is just a silly overreaction. I can easily imagine a 20 year old kid having a meltdown over someone holding onto his phone too long. But with the way things went down it sure seems like there’s something MORE that went on here.

Here where it comes down to for me. If he was just trying to make a good faith effort to get to know his players better. As ill advised as it was, then I don't see it as a fire-able offense. If it was more than that, which I don't know based on what I have read. Such as looking for a way to manipulate or control players. Then it's obviously a bigger problem. I'm not one that is going to consider his past rep and complaints from other players in the past and assume the worst.

You're just babbling on. That post did not detail or even attempt to provide any evidence. What are you talking about?

I know you're all wounded, and butt hurt but please, apply at least something somewhat intelligent so we can at least have some kind of conversation. Every reply you make is just juvenile nonsense.

He's the guy who actually is assuming things. While out of the other side of his mouth, telling me I don't know what actually happened. With no awareness that he is doing so. Can't make it up.
