He called in players and wanted to go through the pictures in their phones to see what kind of people they are. Apparently grown hockey players said yes then texted Biz so he could get the story out. - Grinder47

Brock Purdy and Jimmy G are proof one concept that average QBs can be part of a contender, you just need a good scheme which we obviously don’t have. Canada is an average college OC who’s probably be somewhere of the caliber of Illinois right now if Tomlin didn’t have him on staff. He’s nowhere near qualified to run an nfl offense.
To say I’m disappointed in Pickett’s first game is an understatement. Yes Canada sucks but he looked to have taken a leap in preseason and he looked just a step above a Zach Wilson level disaster on Sunday. Hoping it’s a combination of first game jitters and playing a top 2 defense in the league but man. No excuse for that level of performance. - Victoro311
I feel like people talk themselves into that and every once in a while a team wins on depth. But most of the time it's the actual elite QBs who win. The teams who do it with average QB play tend to rise and fall quick.
Personally, I'd have been willing to suck a year or two just for the shot at an elite QB. Even if he hits close to his ceiling, I'm not excited by an average QB like Pickett. I can't see feeling he'll beat guys like Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, etc just to get to a SB. |

would have been amazing to have tatar on the 3rd line and $1.5M is a reasonable contract. Too bad they have $3.25M tied up in a full no movement, no trade, no retirement, no buyout option in jeff carter. Is it too much to hope that sullivan has a moment of clarity and has carter play under 30 games this year when he sees all the speed on the ice? Or will he insist that carter is a great face off guy and they need that after a goal (scored by someone else)? |

My example? Trent Dilfer. It was the baltimore defense that won that superbowl in 2000. His only task was to not lose it for them. Be a game manager. |

I respect Rhule a lot as a college coach. I think he’ll turn Nebraska around at least to Pelini levels of perennial 9 win success. I know that’s not the standard Nebraska wants but definitely a hell of a lot better than what they’ve been. Sims is a dumpster fire but if you look beyond Sims being a G5 level QB you can see the makings of better football in Lincoln. They should have beaten a fairly competent Gophers team in their opener - Victoro311
Yeah I expect them to become a competent bowl eligible program. The defense looks solid. |

Brad Johnson won a SB.
Joe Flacco won a SB.
Eli won 2. Russel Wilson won 1.
Nick Foles won a SB.
Don’t need a top 3 or top 5 QB to win 1 but it does help. |

As broken down Peyton Manning on the broncos to that list. Also while Stafford was still pretty good he was no where close to a top tier QB anymore when the rams won. |

Oh yea, I just think it's hilarious that Brady lost to him twice haha. Foles beat Brady too haha. I actually liked Brady more when he was on Tampa, I can't stand Belichek. |

I mean we are older, when it's younger dudes (and I Know Boone ain't young so not sure what's going on their, maybe trying to keep his captaincy) they wanna do everything they can to keep a spot in the lineup or just make the team. Babcock abuses power, especially with younger kids, end of story.
Edit: Marner became superstar enough to send Babcock to the curb eventually. Because there was no way Babs could bench him and keep his job. |

I’d agree with the Manning part but Stafford was top 3 or 4 in yards, TDs, and QBR that season. |

Didn’t realize that. He broke down so quickly after the SB that I just kind of assumed he was already going down hill that year |

So many neck and back injuries in his career. Was kinda surprised he decided to keep playing this season. |

It's f'n weird. I've tried looking at it from a few angles and always come back to it being weird hahaha.
Now, Boone Jenner might of thought it was okay, like he stated in his statement , but I feel like it probably made some of the younger generation players, who most likely have crazier sh!t (tits, d!cks, hard partying, etc) in their photos, uncomfortable. |

Tatar would have been a good pickup at 1.5 mil. As far as carter goes he's a veteran and dubas is bringing in over 30 players to help sullivan coach because he can't coach and relies heavily on older players to (cover his arse) for fear of being fired every year.
If you look back over the years sullivan doesn't play any young players and definitely refuses to play more physical players. |
