Depends on which league Michkov is playing in. Wondering if the Flyers should just pay the ransom now for Michkov, instead of waiting for 3 years. Better he develops in the AHL anyway. Hopefully Michkov will be loaned out soon to a bad KHL team like he was last year so at least he plays.

The option for paying the ransom now is not there.

I think if that was really an option he would already be here. Perhaps that's what his Dad was trying to do before they found him in a pond. At this point I wish they would have just taken Leonard and Perrault in the draft. Lots of top notch defenders in next year's draft and they are gonna suck this year to get another high draft pick(they have Florida's pick too I believe). Simply too much drama with this Michkov kid and it's only just begun. He better be worth it!

The overwhelming majority of the "drama" is manufactured. People stating that they should've picked someone else before any of the players have played a single game in the NHL, is an example of creating drama. Very little actual drama to this point.

For those of you on here who had family or friends who were taken today 22 years ago today may your families be blessed. My families prayers go out to you all.
A sad day in our nations history that I will never forget.
For those with young children please teach them the what really happened that day good and bad.
Let’s also not forget the first responders and those who worked at ground zero and the landfill going through the debris. I thank you all.
Though I did not personally lose a loved one or friends 9/11 for me this day will always be a solemn day to remember all that died that day after months or years after from exposure to ground zero.
There were so many unsung heroes I am still learning about.
Today if you don’t agree with another poster or don’t like that person let this be a day no put aside those differences.
Never forget!

Week ones are just “survive” games. I am thrilled they won but it’s obvious there’s work to be done.

They need to be great in game 18, 19 and 20. They just need to do enough to win most of the games 1-17.

I agree there is little actual drama, but I think the anxiety stems from the fact that Leonard is a US player that by next season will be playing in the NHL, while Michkov's future is much more clouded at present. The fact that he is being benched just so the coach can show how much power he has is just adding more fuel to the fire. If Michkov gets loaned out like last year and we see him playing lot of minutes and creating highlight reels, things should settle down.

There is no urgency needed. Done correctly, this "rebuilding" process is going to take years. Much change hopefully will happen.
