Where did you come up with that line of thinking? I'm just saying that the win was far from impressive given the fact that the Pats came out and handed the Eagles 13 points and the Eagles struggled to put away an inferior team. The Pats suck and the Vikings suck even worse. The Eagles will finish at top of their division or get a wild card spot, but their schedule this year is much more daunting than last year's schedule and it won't be a cakewalk to the SB this year...far from it!

No seriously, but some rhetorical queries.

1. What on earth is up with giving Ken (frank)ing Gainwell the ball so often? And if you are going to run so many between the tackle runs against a swarming, over-aggresive young D, why no screens? Why no swing passes with blockers? Indeed, why not have passes for your RB in the flat when you have someone like Swift as active for the game? Why no play-action?

2. Was there a single designed play for Goedert? If you are not going to design plays for him, why have 12 personnel and have Stoll embarass himself trying to block?

2. What are they going to do with the middle of the D on coverage? Evans was putrid. Dean looked hesitant & is injured again anyway. There was poor qb play from Jones and no TE in NE that could read zones and sit on them; there were gaping holes in coverage that more experienced qbs/TE will exploit.

3. What is up with the Desai defensive fronts? Is there even a base personnel? How many stunts will that line perform? RedRichard was constantly rushing from the middle. BG was lined up as tackle, then dropping back in coverage. I don't like this kinda crap on opening day.

4. What is the point in being up 5, and going for it on 4 and 3 from your own 30 or wherever that was? You want home field or nah?

Good play individually: Blankenship, Maddox, Slay (by and large), Carter (Desai -open your eyes. This guy should not just be part of the rotation), Sweat, RedRichard, Cox (by and large)

Mailata blew till the 4th. Bad audibling by Hurts. How do you not be aware of an obvious corner blitz like that? Horrendous play calling. Horrendous protection schemes.

That's it. based on my expectations, this was a bad start. The good news is, they got away with it.

No one is trying to argue here dude. Jesus! Some people on here will argue about anything. I don't care what everyone else says. I formulate my own opinions. I honestly didn't know what people said about the Pats cause I'm not a football geek (I just watch the games when I can...not the 5 hour pre and post game shows). I just know that the Pats are the bottom feeder of that division.

Nah. Way more people think they’ll be last than not. The Jets, Fins, and Bills all have higher projections.

And they probably will. It’s a pretty good division. The Pats aren’t a bad team. Last in a division like that still hovers around .500 with between 7-9 wins.

Depends on which league Michkov is playing in. Wondering if the Flyers should just pay the ransom now for Michkov, instead of waiting for 3 years. Better he develops in the AHL anyway. Hopefully Michkov will be loaned out soon to a bad KHL team like he was last year so at least he plays.

Coming from Boston I can say without a doubt the Pats are not a good team and will be lucky to win 6 games this year. The Pats defense is OK, but the offense is just not good enough. They lack weapons to start, and an offensive line that can give Jones time to use those weapons. As you saw last night, the only reason Jones didn't get killed was he was releasing the ball quickly whether his receiver was there or not. Ju-Ju is a shell of himself, his knee is shot, and he was supposed to be their No 1. In contrast, the receiver they swapped Ju-Ju for had a big game for the Raiders. The Pats can't get out of their own way in regards to picking top receivers.
